Is this a sign from the universe?

I don’t know what else to call it. If I listed out everything converging in my world right now, you wouldn’t believe me — unless you’ve been following my Substack for the last eight years. Then you just might.

It feels like eight years of work collapsed into the last two weeks.

This weekend, I cracked open Incorruptible by Eric Ries.

For eight years I’ve been building a company around one stubborn conviction: that work can be better. That short-termism isn’t actually what’s best for anyone. That a business can be a system of care — built to serve every stakeholder, not just its shareholders.

So I built it. Building an ecosystem of multiple organizations — bootstrapped, no map, no permission — has been transformative. Honestly, I’m not the same person I started out as.

And then I read Eric’s book.

It mirrors what I built right down to the twin nonprofit and the ecosystem. I don’t even need to walk you through the details. The spine is identical.

I’m moving through it so fast I already know I’ll have to go back and wrestle with it line by line.

And Eric is the rare kind of forward-thinker who didn’t just diagnose the problem — he built the Long-Term Stock Exchange to fix it. When the time is right, that may be exactly where a company like ours belongs.

So here’s my question for everyone reading this:

Who else is walking this road with me?

Please — identify yourselves.

Eric Ries — thank you 💕🙏🏻

Today was a crazy day that ended with a bang.

I texted my oldest daughter Maddy something hopeful about the next six months — and this is what she sent back.

I don’t usually share something this personal here. But my company is about moms, and it’s built for every mother who’s been told she couldn’t, that she was crazy, that her vision was too big or too soft or too much.

Eight years bootstrapped. Eight years of deferred salaries, of doors slammed, of people telling me a brand that gives 100% of its profits to charity wasn’t a real business. Eight years of my kids watching their mom keep showing up anyway.

And somewhere along the way, my daughter was watching. She saw it. She named it. And she reminded me that even if we never reached the destination, the journey itself was worth it.

That’s the thing I want people to understand about what we’re building.

Mom Bomb isn’t a bath and body company that happens to give back. It’s a network of care.

And a network of care works in both directions:

When you’re down, someone reaches in and picks you up.
When you’re up, you reach back and pick someone else up.

That’s it. That’s the whole model. That’s the whole point.

Mothers in crisis don’t need a hero. They need a hand. And the women who’ve already climbed don’t need a pedestal — they need somewhere to put what they’ve learned.

Maddy, baby — yes. We’re doing it. 💗
