Pre-pandemic, Megan’s client Susan had an A Line Bob, but with the quarantine growth she moved to a bob with highlights & lowlights to create a natural dimension with Joico color.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Jim from Natural Selection Woodcraft for making our rolling station dividers come to life, all from scratch! We wanted things to be even safer and Megan had this idea to do plexiglass on a wood stand and to put wheels on it so we could adjust the placement depending on our needs. Jim is a local craftsman making unique tables, shelves, hooks and more out of his Hyde Park shop. Check him out on Instagram and give him a follow who knows maybe you’ll spy a table you like!

OPEN JUNE 1st! 🎉
Thank you so much for your patience! We are in the process of reaching out to clients and trying to get everyone accommodated fairly. Keep an eye out for a text or call from us!
We are taking some extra time to prepare to reopen so it can be done with attention and care, and everyone stays as safe as possible. We are following and exceeding all MA COVID19 Safety Standards and will have those posted.
Some extra precautions and info to know: Custom made wood/plexi dividers between stations. Adjusted schedules so no more than 2 stylists are in the shop at one time for awhile. No blowdrys until a later phase. Clients must wear an ear loop mask. Stylist will wear mask, eye protection and apron. Wash hands on arrival. One client per stylist. Adding extra time between clients for disinfection. Reception team is remote. Variety of contactless payment options. Using disposable capes. Waiting room closed, arrive on time and knock. Client only, no guests. If you are sick reschedule. No COVID fees for PPE.
There are lots of other things we are doing, feel free to ask any questions so we can let you know about our infection control and help ease your mind. We are very excited to see you, even if it’s through a mask with an air hug 🤗 ✂️
It was just announced by Governor Baker that Hair Salons are in fact allowed to open in Phase One. We have not set OUR start date yet, we were just given our industry guidelines today, and there are a lot of things we need to situate to meet those requirements. We will announce our reopening plans as soon as possible. We will then reach out to clients from March onward to start the rebooking process. Please keep in mind some stylists might be starting at later date and salon operations will be very different than what we are all used to, which will impact the pace we are used to working at. We thank you for your continued patience and we are grateful to be able to provide hair services, though limited, in phase one.
Governor Baker has extended the closure of non-essential businesses until May 18th, so we will remain temporarily closed. The State Board of Cosmetology has told us that they are working with senior management at the Division of Professional Licensure and public health officials to create guidelines for our industry with regard to reopening.
In the meantime, we are developing plans and making some changes to keep our clients, stylists and staff as safe as possible. We are doing our best to locate and purchase appropriate PPE, along with disinfectant supplies, so we can be ready to work. We have brushed up on proper disinfection protocols and became a Barbicide Certified Salon. We are also in the process of giving our shop a face-lift, including new floors, paint and other changes that were in the works just prior to COVID19.
We think about our clients often and hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Thank you so much for all of your support, love and patience! ❤️✂️

We had to check on the salon today, and while there, we put up a little cheer for those on the frontlines of this. Also, thank you to all our clients who have been so kind to send us pre-payments on service, write positive reviews and send messages of support! We are very grateful 🙏🏻
03/31/2020
We will be closed through at least May 4th due to Governor Baker’s order for all non-essential businesses to stay closed in an effort to help fight the spread of COVID19.
We are still not booking or rescheduling appointments until we have a firm date set to re-open. We have to follow government regulations and guidelines, as well as keep stylists, staff and clients safe.
We will see you, and your roots, sometime in May!
