Ever wonder what those small little hairs are that stick out on your wig or hair piece? 👇

Those are called return-hairs, which are very common in hand-tied wigs and hairpiece. If not prepped or styled properly, these little hairs can stick-out and become noticeable.

Keep your return-hairs tame with a few tips from our stylist Kim Cruz

▫️ Lightly mist the hair prior to blow-drying. This will help the hair style easier.

▫️Keep the round-brush away from the root area when blow-drying. The brush can make the return-hairs more prominent.

▫️Focus the blow-dryer nozzle to be going in the same direction as the hair

These flat iron tips are for you 🔥👇

Our stylist Katie Coppola Sweeney shared her favorite tips and techniques for flat-ironing and

▫️Always use heat protection. A lightweight aerosol spray (like Heat Styling Spray) is your best friend. Pump sprays can go on too wet, leaving marks and even causing smoking.

▫️ Keep your flat-iron under 400°F | 350–375°F should work just fine.

▫️Work in small, clean sections for the best results.

▫️Avoid pulling sections straight down; it can flatten your style and create unwanted dents. Instead, hold the hair out at an angle to maintain movement and body.

▫️Keep the flat-iron moving at all times to prevent heat damage.

▫️Start at the root, glide through the mid-lengths, and finish at the ends. Use your comb to guide the hair and keep everything smooth and polished.

▫️For added lift, try a vertical section: hold it straight out, lightly tap the roots, then work your way down.

▫️And most importantly—never rest a hot iron on the base of your hairpiece. This can cause permanent damage (melting!).
