Working this campaign was a full circle moment from nerding out over Paula Begoun’s books & ingredients glossary in the early 00’s, dreaming of being a beauty professional fast forward to actually executing the vision alongside global creatives.

Such an honor to be a small part of the Makeup Department for 3 Busy Debras the past couple months. The entire cast & crew were so awesome to create all the delightfully bizarre Lemoncurd-ness with.
Thank you so much for being an incredibly kind & communicative Department Head. & for being such detail oriented Keys keeping me on my toes. .harvey for really showing how to be an rockstar Day Player & endless gems of career advice. for bringing all the yoga, mindfulness and good vibes. it was amazing to finally reunite on set outside of school. You know what I miss doing? Test shoots! It’s been a minute since posting but I’m alive & kicking on these sets. Just deep in the realm of TV/Film & non-disclosures which is so fun yet challenging to work with larger crews amongst Seattle’s best. There’s still something about testing purely for something aesthetic to enhance everyone’s book....

It’s okay to feel not quite okay. It’s not easy having your entire lifestyle turned on it’s head over that matter of weeks. Going from being with my makeup students weekday evenings, different commercial clients in the mornings, late night happy hours with friends, travel plans around the country, falling in love with a special someone.... to a standstill.
For those of us creatives, thrill seekers, workers, do-ers, anyone whose identity directly correlated to our work- it can hit the heart as much as the bank account. To all my fellow creatives who might feel scared, uncertain, suddenly forced to deal with the demons we evade by yielding our crafts.... It’ll be okay. Remember all the sleepless nights, financial hardship, lost friendships, countless hours of refinement it took to get where you are. Nothing can take that from you, from us. We already have legacies. 🌖 Who else has a love/ hate relationship with social media? How do you strike the balance of sharing while being present? What’s awesome is how it’s democratized creative fields beyond what has ever been possible. While trying to be as present as possible, my phone can feel like a barrier to giving my all on set... And it’s kinda squicky egotistical to request selfies when working with high profile clients so maybe 5% of my work ends up on here. Ultimately it’s time to just follow my intuition to see what resonates!
