Just to catch family and friends (and really anyone who wants to read) up to speed on life these last 4/5 months... It’s been a little overwhelming to say the least.
To start my crohns decided to be out of control. 🤦🏼♀️ (because it just can’t let me live 🙄). These last few months have been a struggle. Part of my small intestine is fully ulcerated. Which means it’s been a bundle of fun fighting fatigue, pain/nausea and food sensitivity times a thousand. All the fun works. (Great weight loss approach tho 🤷🏼♀️ trying to stay positive 😂)
To top that, many of you know I underwent some
serious genetic testing. Thankfully I was negative for all the (super) scary things. 🥳 unfortunately, I am carrying 2 recessive genes, that under normal circumstances wouldn’t cause any issues, but what fun is normal? Also, a potential connective tissue thing. They believe these could be the cause of my neuropathy, back pain and my occasional loss of strength and coordination.
But as always... GOD is so good. I’ve been approved to begin another biological treatment for my crohns. For the nerves, I’ve been referred to my older brother Brandon’s neurologist. (Yes! Older brother 🙈) in hopes that being familiar with his genetics will help figure mine out 🤞🏼they have a plan, and are optimistic to a positive outcome.
In the midst of all this some of you may know my dad (Brian) had a pretty severe heart attack in august. We are so thankful and blessed he has been able to make a remarkable recovery. He has taken recovery serious and it working hard to make and keep the changes needed. It was definitely a wake up call for us all.
Many of you have reached out to check in and see if I’m still doing hair and yes! I’m still doing hair, but I have pulled back to limiting the number of clients I see a day, and week. Not just because of covid, but because fatigue is no joke 😩😂
If your needing your holiday appointment please let me know ❤️ I would love to get you in!!! And as we start to get ready for another year I am so excited to get back into remission and back to working like crazy. Thank you to all who has reached out, checked in and were a source of support ❤️

This last year has been such a beautiful adventure. I have been independent for a year! I am humbled by the experiences it has held.
Being on my own showed me...
💔I had gotten comfortable in letting others narrate my career
💔 I believed the nay say and allowed it to influence my work
💔I had lost my self confidence and passion for being behind the chair.
💔I wasn’t willing to take risks
This last year has taught me...
✨I am the only one who can write my story
✨Taking risks and having faith pay off
✨I never want to be content with my career or talent; I always want to have something to learn
✨Being behind the chair is where I belong.
✨Self confidence is never fully obtained, it will always be a work in progress
With one year down, and a amazing start to another it’s now time to enjoy and enjoy the sun.
I am so thankful for those who have followed my journey from the start and those who have found me along the way.
There are no words to explain the gratitude I have. While thank you will never be enough, it’s a start, so...
Thank you 💕

Curls for the girls 🥰
Many of you know I’m a mom to a curly girl 🎉
This last year we’ve worked hard at creating a routine for my daughter to do herself.
She wears it curly day to day but sometimes she surprises me and asks for straight hair
The stylist in me gets excited because I love a good blowout 🙂
Her routine...
every 6 months
Wash 1x a week w/ shampoo
Condition 2x a week w/ deep conditioning mask
Leave in w/ iconic spray
Detangle w/ the wizard priming spray
If wearing curly she lets air dry from there
If going straight with mom blowing out...
Smoothing serum thermal straightening serum or smoothing serum
And
glass action elixir
We Blow dry with boar bristle brush and tension
I section into four quadrants and take sections about a inch wide and .5-1inch thick and blow dry straight.
Finishing with a little more of ’s glass action elixir to help lay down fly sways
From there she can get up to a week of wear
With daily touch ups and avoiding getting it wet
What’s your go to curl routine?!?
