MOTION IS LOTION FOR YOUR BODY!!! I feel like with chronic pain, we can easily try and look for a “quick fix” instead of a lifestyle change. Often times, our lifestyle is giving us this chronic pain and we are not giving it enough credit. Something that completely changed. The course of my chronic pain journey was moving in ways. I wasn’t already moving. If you stand and walk and sit, and those are the only three actions you do, try yoga. Or try martial arts. Or try volleyball. Anything to get your body moving in different ways. The more we can move our body in different ways, the more lubricant our joints are, and the longer they will last for our body.
Comment below your favorite type of exercise or movement!
Do you travel often? Do you get back pain with your travel? Here are a few things that I personally do before I go to the airport. And if you’re not embarrassed in public, you can always do them at the airport! Give this a try and let me know what you’re thinking in the comments below.
In this video, I will show you how to fascially release 3 specific areas for typical plantar fasciitis pain. I use this exact technique on my clients with this exact tool.
Essentially, after working on enough clients with plantar fasciitis, I found a similar pattern in the fascia in their low leg. Most notably, the fascia below and medial to the patellar. Releasing this area, the other two areas, and rolling/scraping the bottom of the foot, is extremely beneficial for relieving symptoms. Give these releases a try and let me know what you think in the comments below! I’m happy to answer any questions :)
For this release, we are using The Wave Tool. This is a light weight fascial scraper created by 2 physical therapists that needed an ergonomic and affordable way to scrape their clients fascia. This is the exact same tool I use in my massage practice because it absolutely saves my hands. Plus, my clients like it better because it’s not cold stainless steel. To purchase this tool, go to the link in my bio or www.wavetoolstherapy.com and use code ELITE15 for 15% off 💚
Comment what fascia scraping areas you want to see next!! Happy to make more videos with this tool.
