Konjac mannan is a plant native to East Asia and has an edible tuber. This flower’s flour is used in Japan to make shirataki noodles and fruit jelly “Konnyaku Batake”.

Konjac has been given many sinister names throughout time such as “Voodoo Lily”, Devil’s tongue”, and “corpse flower” due to its unique reddish colors and plant structure. Sounds scary, huh?! 😈 Even if you are not into magic and sorcery that much, this flower’s retched smell has been often compared to either a dead animal or of rotting meat! ☠️

But no worries, everyone! It is helpful to humans! 😮‍💨

The days of knights, kings and queens, unfortunately, passed away, despite our desire to look fabulous as those kings and queens! And we still use some a-few-hundred-year-old life hacks created by our ancestors as ancient plants and oils and…Lavender!

Lavender is a flower with an incredibly bright aroma. There are plenty of myths and legends that are associated with it.

In the past, people used to believe that lavender was a must-have flower for everyone that might help to bring peace and harmony to family life. All rooms were periodically fumigated with bunches of lavender. It was believed that its smoke killed bad energy in a bedroom, or was commonly used after the visit of uninvited guests to clean the place from bad intentions. Such a ritual helped to clear the energy in the house and remove all the negativity.
