2026 ~ but add a bump! 🤰

Soooooo excited to share we are pregnant and due in October. What a fun day to get outside, celebrate, jog, walk, catch a few hugs from clients on the course, and receive 1000 congratulations!

I always feel so lucky to be in this incredible community. Thanks to the for a wildly well-organized event, for all they do to raise awareness for pregnancy and health on the daily, .equality for bringing extra pride to the course, for some lemon sorbet that made my day, and ALWAYS my family for taking care of allllll. the. things. so that I can work, and play, and live my dreams. You all make it all worthwhile!

This month’s blog is born of busy seasons and life experience in our house, plus great ideas from clients over the years.

My husband just had surgery and our household rhythm had to shift. But here’s the thing—we’ve been through busy seasons before. I know what helps us and what just creates more stress.

So I’m sharing what actually works in our house when life gets overwhelming. No perfection, just practical strategies that reduce friction when life gets real —new baby, surgery recovery, aging parents, summer chaos, whatever you’re navigating.

…. But if you are like me and FEELING the spring allergies 🤧 try this simple face massage to relieve seasonal allergy congestion.

Full disclosure, I 🩷 springtime in Colorado AND I also take allergy meds, use a neti pot, manage with other lifestyle treatments when needed and am all in on ongoing shots for my seasonal allergies. I’ve also seen acupuncture and hypnotherapy help so if you are someone who deals with allergies feel free to share your experiences!

We will cover simple routines for gassy bellies, healthy development, and satisfying sleep and some quick tips and tricks to make baby massage part of your home routine.

Pre-registration required. This April 30th class at the Boulder Public Library on Arapahoe with Faith is open to all parents, grandparents, and caregivers with pre-crawling babies. If you can’t make this class, join us in our moms only class at with Jeanne on May 19th!

No cost to your energy. No cost to your wallet. But EVERYTHING to your rounded spine and tired back.

Heads up, I say this is for postpartum, but it’s totally safe for pregnancy as long as you feel good on your back for a few breaths. Honestly, if you work at a computer 🧑‍💻 or drive a lot 🏎️ this stretch is for you too!

This is the take-home stretch I am giving out to clients the most this week.
Maybe it can help you too?

It’s an ideal stretch for during pregnancy, caring for a baby, nursing, working at a computer, or driving a car.

1- extend arm to side
2- drop your ear towards your shoulder and away from the extended arm
3- tuck the extend arm behind you towards your low back
4- slowly nod the head yes to open the front muscles of the neck, side muscles, and muscles closest to the spine
DONE!

Calling all parents and caregivers with pre-crawling babies! FREE infant massage class next Thursday, February 5th at where we will be lovin’ up those babies just in time for Valentine’s Day! 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙
We go over a simple routine for healthy babies that supports sleep, digestion, and development.

🤱👩‍🍼Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and snacks are totally OK. No previous baby massage experience needed! (Also you can totally shower, or not before showing up).
Just bring yourself, your baby, and a blanket for your babe. Class is free, but we do ask for everyone to register ahead!

Our bodies interpret so much of our modern life as a threat. Supporting our brains and bodies to understand what is a reaction to the past, what is a fear for the future, and what is a danger in the moment is one of the ways we can help treat chronic stress in our bodies.

As a massage therapist and mindfulness practitioner, I work with people navigating stress every day. I feel the way it lands in my own body and for our clients.
A few quick distinctions (a fool’s errand to try to have a nuanced conversation on a social media platform…):
👉There is no shame in chronic stress, anxiety, or trauma.
👉Just because you feel safe in the moment doesn’t mean that you have to help others. You may feel resourced and able to support yourself but not have the bandwidth to support your neighbors or even a wider social movement.
👉Maybe the absolute best you can offer today is to care for yourself and your household. That is enough.
👉We are all in different moments in life with different capacity. Healing yourself. Helping to regulate your household or hearing out a co-worker with calm. All of this is enough.
