​Say hello to "Fried Chicken," painted by local self-taught artist Calum Wintergerst out of Niwot, CO! 🎨✨
​Calum grew up on local farms, and his love for animals shines through in his vibrant watercolor and digital portraits. He uses bold, saturated pigments to make his subjects pop, and "Fried Chicken" is no exception. With that striking plumage, perfect posture, and a serious look on his face, this rooster is serving pure, unadulterated regality. 👑

​If you’ve visited us, you’ve probably noticed my growing collection of rooster art. I started collecting these pieces to bring a little cheeky humor into the space and to keep the vibe exactly how it should be: totally relaxed, fun, and judgment-free. Plus, it’s given me an amazing excuse to support and showcase incredible local artists!
​To share the love, I’m going to be highlighting a different piece from the studio every month.
​Kicking us off for our inaugural post is this beautiful piece titled Dawn’s Early Light. It’s a framed card of a gorgeous, original 2017 pastel painting by the highly talented Karen Goldman (who also happens to be a friend's sister-in-law!).
