Like cycling, look ahead, move around obstacles.

Had surgery Monday evening. Been doing a lot of walking since then, adding in a little lower extremity light strength stuff as well. Respecting The necessity of my limitation and at the same time doing what I can.

Today is my first day on the trainer, on the bike. Gosh these legs feel so good and just want to crush it but have to respect the healing and there's only so much I can do. I'm holding the reins on myself so that I can heal well, heal fast and get back to normal.

I miss my clients and miss my Cycling buddies. See you on Zwift!

BTW- Have you ever tried putting up long hair with one hand?

I put together a last minute ride to teach some technique and practice skills both on pavement and dirt.
Solid ride practicing pack riding, cornering on dirt, keeping a strong pace together, fueling, climbing and descending.
It was a small but
powerful group 💪💥

Fuel your ride.
Today is a big day.
Pre ride meal 2 hrs. before start.
For my size, weight, metabolism, out put needs today I need to start my fueling with a breakfast that includes:
120g carbs✅
23g protein ✅
15%fat✅
I’ve been wearing a CGM and working with a sports diatician at for the past 3 months. I was feeling allot of unexplained fatigue in my body around workouts, weight was off…just felt something wasn’t right.
I’ve learned so much about ME, what MY body needs-relearning fueling. Being a massage therapist, bike racer and older athlete is unique. My needs with fueling are as unique as my lifestyle and my DNA. I’m also learning about my relationship to food. Understanding habits, ideals, and emotions/feelings about eating and choices.
It’s a process to unlearn and learn what’s best for me. I’m curious and enjoying the process of becoming a better athlete and feeling better in my body every day with food.
