Sometimes I
think I should take the photo of Horst & Vidal off the two pages I have on FB.
Thing is - The impact of Horst in my life, as a person, a business owner and a person who does hair for a living is huge until this day.
From going to Horsts first small castle education center in Mpls.MN. to having my paycheck signed with his name and working in the "temple" as an educator for the Aveda company in Mpls and seeing him around the building making sure everything was up to his standards or as he would say,
"how he envisioned it".
The other day, I purchased a nebulizer,
(a pretty glass machine that dispenses essential oils for medicinal purpose & relaxation) to help me relax & sleep, then I realized we had them all over the castle school & temple when I worked there.
(they only looked different, the ones at the center were very simple blown glass hooked onto a motor, now the choices are far more varied)
Minimal days go by, when the impact of this ONE person do not show up on some level.
Lately, his business teachings are coming into
play as I mature as a salon owner.

I am thankful, and the photo stays as a reminder of that.

Horst passed away February 15th, 2014 & founded salons in Mpls. MN in 1965, he founded Aveda Corporation in 1978.
