“It’s so fluffy, I could die!”

This beauty wanted a fluffy microbladed brow, and I’m in love. She now has a perfect shape, and she chose a stunning, rich color. She couldn’t wait to show them off!

For the first little bit, I’ll be charging model prices which are $200 for your initial appointment and $100 at your 6-8 week touch-up. Your annual touch-up will be regular price. If you already have work done and just need a color boost, the cost is $150. You can book on my website and I’ll change the pricing behind the scenes.

After this intro period, my pricing will be as follows:

Microblade or Powderfill:
Initial: $400
6-8 Week Touch-Up: $200
Annual Touch-Up: $300

Combo or Blade/Shade:
Initial: $450
6-8 Week Touch-Up: $300
Annual Touch-Up: $250

TRAINING DAY #3:

Day 3 focused on fine tuning our shaping and microblading skills, plus incorporating machine skills. The hope was that we could combine all of the skills to create one beautiful combo brow (powderfill + hairstrokes) at the end of the day.

Jenny likes to play a fun game where she makes us tattoo a balloon to get our depth and pressure jussssst right. To my surprise, my balloon didn’t pop. She also taught me the perfect technique for taking photos with a ring light, you hug it. That’s the trick. ;)

At the end of the day, I gave my model the sexiest set of combo brows I’ve ever seen.

TRAINING DAY #2:

Our second in-person training day was jam-packed. We went over all things microblading, hairstrokes, pigment, and a revisit of how to safely carry out permanent makeup procedures. I absolutely love the creativity involved with microblading. Adding hairstrokes to their existing brow is just such a natural, effortless look. And if you’re good, (and I think I am…) it’ll look completely seamless, like you were born with those hairs.

On day 2, I also had my first microblading client - we’ll go over that in a separate post, but I’ll include a little sneak-peek.

TRAINING DAY #1:

Our first day of training had a strong focus on safety and shaping. We had opportunities to set up and break down the salon space, making sure to not cross contaminate anything. This is where my Dental Assisting skills came in handy. 💪🏽 Shaping practice was thorough. We all have such different features, face shapes and brow goals. We learned the importance of really speaking with your client and getting to know their goals vs getting a cookie cutter eyebrow drawn on your face. It needs to suit you, your anatomy, and your desired outcome. The best part of this day was Jenny (AKA ) allowing me to sport my athleisure and house slippers, haha!

If you’re the type to fill in your eyebrows, you know it’s a SCIENCE - but it’s also an art! I’ve been trying to get some practice in before my class… My brain wants me to draw/microblade an entire eyebrow, not the just the “filled in” portions.

I think drawing the “right amount” of hairstrokes will come more naturally when there’s an eyebrow with hair in front of me vs a naked piece of practice skin in front of me. Do you know what I mean? But why can’t I stop drawing hairstrokes? 🤣🤣 My brain just says MORE, MORE, MORE!!

There’s also a couple times where I dragged my blade, oops. Practice makes perfect, and I’m sure I’ll have loooooots more practice in the next three weeks! I swear to work so hard at this that instead of me trying to get it right, it’ll be impossible for me to get it wrong. Pinky promise. 🫶🏼

I have been trained in several things. I have had good trainers, I’ve had awful trainers, and I’ve had excellent trainers. To say Jenny is the best at what she does is an extreme understatement. She has put so much time and thought into her PMU (permanent makeup) trainings. My in-person training doesn’t even start until the end of the month, but I’m already about 15 hours in on my “homework” and “pre-education.”

Everyone starts somewhere, and choosing to train with one of the biggest names in the industry was very important to me. I have flushed thousands of dollars down the toilet on training in the past, lesson learned. Pay to train with the best, always. PMU classes are a dime a dozen, but I know for a fact that I’ve chosen the trainer with the most rigorous and thorough curriculum out there.

I started here, getting this little certificate. You’re not even allowed in the classroom unless you have it…

Well, it’s in the bag and I’m onto the next homework assignment. ✔️

Notice the word model? I’m going to be needing some of those. The model fee will be $100. Your appointment will be 2:1, Jenny and I working on your brows together. There are a few requirements for being a model, I’ll post those shortly. Let me know if you’re interested.
