The more events I do, the more I realize that simplifying my setup makes it easier for my tribe to find and shop with me.

I went from an elaborate display to a simple yet effective setup designed for visibility and convenience. My customized tent helps customers recognize Nouvo Body, while my tablecloth and double-sided sign clearly display our brand, website, QR codes, and popular products. 🌿

Every display serves a purpose: products are placed at eye level, butters and oils have testers, and soap samples allow customers to smell and feel each bar.

Because I value transparency, I also display a menu with product descriptions, benefits, and prices. It helps customers find products for their skin or hair concerns and has been a game changer when I’m working alone. While I help one person, the next can explore the products and decide what they need.

An effective setup doesn’t have to be elaborate. It simply needs to be visible, informative, inviting, and easy to shop.

This summer, I’ve been outside nearly every weekend, and now I’ve found myself doing a few events during the week too.

This week, I participated in my first Wednesday farmers market. It was hot, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. But I’m so grateful for the customers who spotted me while they were driving, recognized the Nouvo Body name, turned around, and came back to support my business. That meant more to me than they probably realized.

When I tell you this is not what I imagined being a full-time business owner would look like! But I continue showing up because I prayed for this. I asked God for opportunities and for Him to send me the right help.

So even when I’m sick, depressed, tired, or sad, I still show up because this is a vision God gave me and trusted me with. I may be doing it alone in the natural, but spiritually, I know He is right there with me, guiding me and providing the tools I need to succeed.

But when I tell you it’s not easy, especially these outdoor markets! I genuinely hate being outside now. It’s hot as hell 🥵, which is a constant reminder that I am not built for hell, so I need to get myself together! 🤣

In all seriousness, to anyone doing something outside of their comfort zone, it’s okay if you’re scared, alone, sad, tired, or even frustrated. Remember your why and continue doing your best.

God will guide you and complete the vision He gave you. You just have to keep showing up, keep trusting Him, and keep trying.

Do it scared.
Do it tired.
Do it alone.
Do it with faith.
Most importantly, do it with God. 🙏🏾
