THIRTEEN YEARS!!

Thirteen years doesn’t even seem possible, but I would choose this career over and over again.

It’s a career of building relationships, rather it be with the awesome ladies I get to work with or the amazing people that sit in my chair, it’s by far my favorite part!

Cheers to THIRTEEN YEARS!

After a week of medical insanity, I’m finally back in the salon tomorrow!!

I’ll be working on quick reschedules to get everyone back on track and looking fresh!

Growing up there were two things I wanted to be…a racecar driver and a hairstylist. Those who know me well know I fulfill the inner childhood dream of driving fast on the daily. The other dream came to fruition in my life, to be a hairstylist. From my childhood kitchen doing Friday night football game hair, homecoming hair to DIY coloring projects on myself, I knew it’s what I wanted to do.

In beauty school your final project prior to graduation is to create a business plan for your own salon, mine was Ambrosia. The details of that plan changed A LOT over the years but the name stuck.

At the age of 25 it became reality, and today I celebrate the 12th anniversary of my childhood dream! The fulfillment I get through the relationships built, the conversations had and the ability to be creative on a daily basis is a dream. Even better, the people I get to share those days with make it that much sweeter and I couldn’t ask for a better group of women to work alongside.

I’m not staring, you’re staring...at this GORGEOUS copper goddess!!

BUT, with gorgeous red hair, comes great responsibility, I know the sacrifices first hand!

Allow me to let you in on a few of my must have tips and tricks to keep your reds and coppers vibrant longer:

1: the cooler the water the better...mine is frigid, but I’m long term committed.
2: shampoo less often...I’m a solid 2 shampoos a week.
3: color deposit shampoos or creams are a game changer! I custom mix these in salon, but also have a few tried and true brands I love also.
4: turn down those heat tools...believe it or not, overheating your hair causes color fadage.
5: cover it up! Rather it be in the tanning bed or in the bright sunshine, frequent UV rays fade hair color.
