Time for a little gratitude post on this fine Sunday: this trip has reminded me how much I appreciate that Mira Motte keeps going even when I’m not physically there. That’s because of you still ordering online and shopping in person, and ofc thanks to my amazing helpers in Bowling Green. 💕

Deets about the treat:
Knusperflocken have been a beloved German treat since production began in the 1970s, made by the Zetti brand out of Zeitz, Germany. Fun fact: chocolate was hard to come by in East Germany at the time, so Zetti got creative. Mixing crunchy Knäckebrot (rye crispbread) into the chocolate let them stretch limited cocoa further while keeping it affordable. The result was a hit... so beloved that after German reunification, it briefly disappeared before coming back onto the market in 1995, and it’s been a nostalgic favorite ever since. Basically: crunchy, chocolatey, and one of my childhood favorites shared with you.
