Hey everyone! we want to share the great news that not only through this fundraiser but also through other means as via our posts on social media we have reached half of our goal of $2,800 and all we need now is $1,400 more to complete it! ever since our lives took a tragic turn 3 years ago, I personally have been keeping our business afloat while taking care of my wife. With our lease coming to an end we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We recognize that the economy is hard right now and aren't asking for much, except that you please find it in your heart to donate at least $5 or $10. use this platform or the one that I have posted on social media.

Hello everyone, I started a fundraiser on GoFundMe and would appreciate your support. Every single share and donation makes a difference. 40 Years of T & J Hair Design: Help Us Close Our Doors with Dignity After 40 wonderful and fulfilling years running T & J Hair Design, Jennifer and I have come to the realization that it is time for us to retire.We have loved serving our community for four decades, but we have reached a very difficult crossroads. Over the last few years, we have experienced the heartbreaking loss of many of our cherished, long-time clients who have moved away, transitioned to assisted living, or sadly passed away. Because of this decline in business, we have made the official decision to permanently close T & J Hair Design at the end of our lease on October 31st.
Our Immediate Financial Need, While we are ready to retire, closing down our business has created a severe and immediate financial strain. Right now, we are forced to pay the remaining rent for our salon suite entirely out of our own pockets using our personal Social Security income.Because our limited retirement income is currently being swallowed up by business overhead, it has left us in a very dangerous position. We are currently struggling to afford our most basic everyday needs, including groceries, medicine, and utilities.
How Your Donation Helps We are asking our community, friends, and loved ones to consider helping us raise $2,800 to cover our rent through the remainder of our lease ending October 31st. Our rent breakdown comes out to $400 per week. Covering this business overhead will immediately free up our Social Security income so we can afford food and basic living necessities during this tough transition.If you can find it in your hearts to donate any amount at all, we would be incredibly grateful. For years, our salon has been a labor of love. But this year, we are facing our hardest season yet. Many of our cherished, long-term clients have sadly passed away or moved into senior living, leaving us with a critical financial shortage of $1,600 a month just to keep our doors open through the slow season.
This salon is more than just a business—it’s a lifeline. I am the full-time caregiver for my beautiful wife, who was a passionate hair stylist before she became paralyzed. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, I bring her into the shop so she can still connect with her clients, feel the buzz of the salon, and keep her passion alive.
