I took a much needed break from social media and from being a Solo beauty professional but I am happy to say that I am now back to being my own boss again and wouldn’t change it for the world. 🤸🏾‍♀️🙌🏾

The past few weeks I’ve gained quite a few new followers and figured it’s time to re-introduce myself. My name is Cydney Marquez , I am a 31 year old Aesthetician from Phoenix, Arizona that specializes in Multicultural Aesthetics and Corrective skincare treatments and owner of Salicylic Cyd!

I'm an alumni of the Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics ( ) located in Tempe, Arizona that is dual licensed in the State of Arizona and Montana. I have experience of 8 years as a Licensed Aesthetician and 7 years as a Cosmetic Laser Technician. The past 5 years have been eventful and I’ve been living between the two states, now I’m an official resident of Montana. ❤️⛰️

I am proud to serve the Bozeman/Belgrade area with Customized facial treatments, Advanced facial treatments, Body treatments and Waxing services.

Don’t get me wrong, being an Aesthetician is great and all but being an Aesthetician AND Certified Laser Technician really is chefs kiss. 👩🏾‍🍳🤌🏾

It is a great mixture of beauty meets science ( my two favorite subjects 🧬👩🏾‍🔬) while offering my clients more permanent/long lasting results that they are going to be satisfied with. Having the knowledge and utilizing lasers I’m able to elevate numerous skincare treatments and give my clients options.

My favorite alternative for shaving/ sugaring/waxing any area on the body, intimate or not is laser hair reduction! The specific laser I use on my clients is safe enough and can confidently/ comfortably treat ALL ethnicities!

This is bittersweet news but it’s nice that I can finally announce that I have officially relocated back to Montana and happy to say it will be home for a while!

I am in the process of becoming a Traveling Esthetician between Arizona AND Montana.
So this is not a goodbye, this is a
“ I’ll see you soon! “

If you are not an existing client of mine, this may seem very abrupt and all of a sudden but While running my business and being a Mom, my fiancé and I have also been in a along distance relationship (Once again) due to his job for the last 7 months.
Needless to say, I been juggling a lot! 🤹🏾‍♀️

I’m accomplishing SO much as an individual, Mother and small business owner. But what fills my heart is being able come home at the end of the day to celebrate those mile stones with my better half. 🥺❤️

One of my close Estiebesties will be taking over my current treatment room and bringing in NEW services like Hydrodermabrasion and will be introducing you to more result driven facials and body treatments while still using high quality ingredients.

In person I am very outgoing but ironically the idea of showing my face/ hearing my voice on social media tends to overwhelm me…
I’ve been focused on how a business is properly ran and my clients needs on top of Motherhood. 😅🤷🏾‍♀️

My name is Cydney Stephens, I’m a 29 year old Aesthetician of seven years in the state of Arizona that specializes in Multicultural Aesthetics. I offer services like Customized Facials, Dermaplaning, chemical peels, Microneedling, B***y facials, Back facials and Waxing.

I have spent years working for Spas, Med Spa/Laser clinics and have noticed that there is a consistent theme of lack of knowledge on how to treat different ethnicities with darker skin tones in the beauty industry. It takes a lot of patience and continuous investing in your education to confidently know how melanin works.

Long story short, when the pandemic started and it was time for the world to quarantine, it lit a fire under my butt! I used that time soul search, study and invest even more into my niche.

7/7/2020 I got my LLC, 4 months later I opened my treatment room with clients ready to be treated and have been kept busy ever since.

One of the best decisions I made for myself was moving away from my hometown for a few years. BUT DAMN, I really am happy to be back in Arizona! I’m blessed to have supportive family members, but to have a solid circle of friends that stay uplifting and hyping me up after being MIA for years is rare!

I’ve officially been back a year and it feels like I can just pick up where I left off, I love ya’ll. 🥺😭❤️

I’ve been an Aesthetician for almost seven years now. I LOVE what I do but to be honest it’s not always rainbows and butterflies in this industry, there’s a lot of ego.

To receive sincere in-depth acknowledgment like this gets me all choked up, I see my years of hard work starting to pay off. 🙌🏾

Believe it or not, four years I was VERY close to quitting my career as an Aesthetician. I was burned out. Balancing being a Mother of a 2 year old, working in a toxic setting while putting myself last was triggering anxiety and depression.

I’ve had the privilege to work in some BEAUTIFUL establishments in the Valley that unfortunately don’t value your worth as professional and individual behind the scenes.
Long story short, I had to stand up for myself , move/ set boundaries ( I literally moved to Montana and came back to Arizona 2ish years later.😅) and have multiple come to Jesus moments with myself to remember who the heck I was! 💁🏾‍♀️

I have been a solo Aesthetician and small business owner for seven months now this is the healthiest, happiest and busiest I’ve been.

Microneedling & Chemical peels are affective treatments that correct the tone and texture of skin while smoothing out acne scarring. But get this, the treatments are ONLY effective if they are pre-treated & post- treated correctly!

They’re never be “ One in done” treatment.

As an Esthetician, I cannot stress how important it is to continue to educate yourself and to study the ins and outs of more advanced treatments.
