Your workout should ALWAYS include a nice stretch/cool down session, afterwards!

Stretching is so so so important for our bodies to function, properly.

Even on rest days, it’s always a good idea to make some time to stretch & lengthen your body out, from all the hard work you put in, during the week!

I have been up since 3:45am, which means I was able to get a full body boxing workout, legs AND core done, this morning... along with a nice long stretch session! 😊🙌🏻🧘🏻‍♀️

This is my season of BECOMING exactly who God has called me to be.

On this journey...
I have stumbled and I have found my balance.
I have backpedalled and I have chosen to dig my feet in & push harder.
I have fallen flat on my face and I have picked myself back up.
I have cried my heart out until there were no more tears and then, I fought for my joy.

All of these twists & turns in my journey of finding myself have shaped me into who I am, today.

I am in NO way complete.
I have a long way to go and I know that there will be many more twists & turns along the way, but I am committed to learning from my mistakes and tackling the challenges that I face, head-on.

I choose ME.
I choose to LOVE myself.
I choose to give myself GRACE.
I choose to hold myself ACCOUNTABLE.
And I choose to keep pushing forward and fighting to become the woman that God has called me to be! ♥️

This year has been weird & hard for all of us. Everything is constantly changing and things rarely make any sense. To say that 2020 has been stressful, would be an understatement.⁣
⁣⁣
⁣However... it has also been a year of incredible opportunities for loving people, being kinder to each other and growing exponentially, on a personal scale. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣I am SO THANKFUL for this year! I have learned more about myself, during the course of 2020, than ever before. I have chosen to use this time to better myself, to reevaluate who I am and to really align how I LIVE my life with my GOALS of who I want to BE! ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣It is truly all a matter of 𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀. Your life is exactly what you 𝙈𝘼𝙆𝙀 it - nothing more & nothing less. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣You can (choose) to see this year as a wash. ⁣
⁣You can make (excuses) as to why you “can’t” do more or be better. ⁣
⁣You can complain about how hard everything is.⁣
⁣OR⁣
⁣You can press into the difficult things and ⁣
⁣ 𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙊𝙎𝙀 to make the most of each day. ⁣
⁣You can use this time wisely to cultivate a life that truly brings you 𝙅𝙊𝙔. ⁣
⁣You can fully commit to making the 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙎, essential to growing and becoming your best self. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Either way... you will be expending energy that propels you one way or another. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Personally, I would rather put my time & effort into bettering myself and putting in the work required to find my 𝙅𝙊𝙔 & become my best self. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣The fact is...⁣
⁣2020 is just another year. Who you become and what your life looks like during & after this year is over... is completely up to you, and it entirely depends on the amount of work you do (or don’t) put in, 𝙉𝙊𝙒. ⁣

⁣I encourage you to reevaluate your mindset & your choices and ask yourself if what you are thinking/speaking/doing, along with the company you are keeping is leading you down the path that leads to a life of 𝙁𝙇𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 & 𝙅𝙊𝙔 or a life of mediocrity & settling. ⁣

⁣If you don’t like the direction you’re going 𝙔𝙊𝙐 have the 𝙋𝙊𝙒𝙀𝙍 to 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 your course. ⁣

⁣Not only is it your RIGHT as an American Citizen to 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞, but it is your civic DUTY!⁣

⁣𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 is so so SO important, especially in THIS election!! ⁣
⁣No matter where you’re at or what you believe... this election is going to be a HUGE determining factor in how our country proceeds. ⁣

⁣Now, don’t get me wrong... ⁣
⁣I question all the time whether or not my 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 (really does matter) and if it really does have an impact. ⁣
⁣Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t, but I would damn sure rather speak up, have a say & have it turn out that it (didn’t) matter, than to realize that it (did) and to not have done anything about/with it. ⁣

⁣I totally understand that this whole election is indeed, a massive sh*tshow. ⁣
⁣Yes, it’s insane. ⁣
⁣Yes, politics is confusing. ⁣
⁣No, these candidates aren’t exactly who we necessarily (want) in office... but right now, THESE are the people that are running and THESE candidates are who we get to pick from. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣My viewpoint is this, if you feel conflicted on who to 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 into office, 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 for the person who is going to (ideally) uphold your VALUES & the things that MATTER to you (the most). ⁣
⁣No one is going to line up perfectly with ⁣
⁣what/how you believe. ⁣
⁣So, at this point, your only real option is to 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 in favor of the things that you truly believe in and let the chips fall where they may. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣•Educate yourselves on the candidates as much as you can. (I’m referring to your state candidates more than anything... we already know probably far to much about the presidential candidates 🙃)⁣
⁣•Go get registered to 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞, ASAP, if you aren’t already. ⁣
⁣And ⁣

I was craving pancakes & sausage. ⁣
⁣So, I made cinnamon maple pecan protein bread French toast with chicken maple sausages, instead. Lol⁣
⁣It seemed like the healthier option that would still satisfy the craving. ⁣

Every day, we are continually presented with CHOICES. ⁣

⁣•The choice of how we start our day, which affects the (kind) of day we will have...⁣
⁣•The choice of whether we will choose to be kind & gracious in the face of chaos...⁣
⁣•The choice of what we put into our bodies & whether or not we do things to promote our physical/mental health...⁣
⁣•The choice of WHO we want to BE & HOW we want to LIVE our lives...⁣

⁣My absolute favorite quite of all time is from a cheesy tv show but it is the truest thing I’ve ever heard...⁣
⁣“Some say that our lives are defined by the sum of our choices. But it isn't really our choices that distinguish who we are. It's our commitment to them.”⁣

⁣I just find it to be SO true. ⁣

⁣The most pivotal part of (making) good choices and having them actually STICK, is fully COMMITTING to them. ⁣

⁣You have to make a choice, pick a side, fight for what you want and stand up for what you believe in. ⁣

⁣•You can’t walk with Jesus, while holding hands with the devil & expect to thrive.⁣
⁣•You can’t workout every day, while also eating junk food / partying & expect to see the results you desire. ⁣
⁣•You can’t live your life fully while sticking to bad habits & expect to truly grow as a person.⁣

⁣This is YOUR life. ⁣

⁣YOU will thrive & find joy, only if you fully COMMIT to doing the things that promote growth and make the DECISION to REPLACE your bad habits with positive life CHANGES. ⁣

Dead, sweaty & SO DANG HAPPY!

Seriously, I am absolutely obsessed with this program! 😍
I have never been so excited to workout.
Every day is different and it’s ALWAYS sooo FUN!

Yes, yes I KNOW what you’re thinking...
Working out... fun...? Uh huhhhhh. 🥴
This bitch be crazy...🤪

But REALLY THO....

The moves are amazing, they’re super easy to learn (if my uncoordinated ass can do it, YOU can do it! 😂) and they constantly build so, it’s NEVER boring!

The trainer in this program is amazing!
He’s fun, funny and genuinely keeps you motivated & believing in yourself! (it doesn’t hurt that he’s not bad to look at, either. 😂😂)

Seriously... if you’ve ever been interested in boxing (or if you just want a workout program that’s new & fun, that you will actually ENJOY doing... THIS IS IT!)

⁣I finally ordered myself new sports bras and I am STOKED!!!⁣
⁣I’m not gonna lie though... this one is DEFINITELY my fave. 😍🐆⁣

⁣Anyone who knows me knows that I am OBSESSED with leopard print. ⁣
⁣I always feel like a badass boss bitch when I wear it, so I figured leopard print workout attire was the way to go.🏋🏻‍♀️💃🏻⁣

⁣I’m always happier and definitely tend to work harder when I like my outfit, so this felt like a solid investment. 😉⁣

The things that you spend the most amount of time doing are what define both WHO and HOW you are, as a person.

If you spend most of your free time chilling out on the couch, scrolling through social media, playing video games & watching TV... well then, your life probbbably isn’t going to amount to much (at least not in any successful, flourishing or personal growth aspects).

If you are *making* smart use of your spare time by reading books that help you to grow, listening to podcasts that speak wisdom & life into your mindset and making sure to exercise every day... you are most definitely on the track to living your life to max capacity of THRIVING!
(I note *making* smart use of your spare time, because it’s definitely the harder choice.
You have to CHOOSE TO CREATE the time, every single day to put in the EFFORT that it takes to genuinely LIVE your life to the FULLEST!)

Here’s the thing, we are called to live full, joy-filled and amazing lives!

Does that mean that life is going to be all unicorns & sunshine all the time? No.
Does it mean that we have to put in a LOT of work to nourish & grow and CHOOSE to show up everyday and put the effort in to BE our best selves? Yep!

Is it difficult? Usually
Is it worth it? DEFINITELY!

You have the power to CHOOSE what your life looks like.
You have the ability to CREATE the life of your dreams OR you can settle into a life of mediocrity.

Honestly, from where I’m standing, there really is no competition between the two...
You deserve to live a life of abundance and joy.

My advice: Put down your phone & turn off the TV.
Pick up a book (or do what I do and grab an entire stack 😂🤓), do some meditation, get a good workout in and maybe go for a walk in the sunshine while you listen to a good podcast.

Choosing a life of growth & challenging yourself to be better, every single day, no matter what, won’t leave you lacking or disappointed.
It WILL have its rough spots, but I encourage you to push through, keep going, always pursue MORE & continually fight for JOY.

I promise, it’s worth it!! ♥️
