Pregnancy.... what a whirlwind. Feels like yesterday I was staring at a positive test in disbelief. Now I’m counting down the hours to meeting you. Baby girl I’ve been waiting my whole life for you. You will never know how much I needed you. You have given me strength and courage I never knew I had. You will always be the miracle that makes my life complete. I love you!! Xoxo!!

As I self reflect on everything these past months I am humbled with gratitude for all the amazing clients I have in my life. I didn’t know what to expect returning to work during a pandemic while also being pregnant. I had my doubts and I still have good days and bad but I am blown away by the patients and compassion you all have given me. I may still not be all the way caught up but I’m getting there and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. So thank you to those clients that have waited and are still waiting for me. Without you all I wouldn’t be here. I am so blessed.

A hard lesson I have had to learn these past seven weeks. At 29 years old I came down with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Ramsay Hunt syndrome occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears. In addition to the painful shingles rash, Ramsay Hunt syndrome causes facial paralysis. I lost complete movement of the right side of my face. Drinking and blinking was none existent.

To say this year has been a struggle is an understatement. I definitely had my days of doubt and my fair share of pity parties. However, I am still so appreciative for the path I’ve been given. At the end of the day, I am thankful that my blessings are bigger then my problems and grateful for small things, big things, and everything in between.

The outpouring support from friends and clients was incredible. I have deep gratitude to you all for lighting my light and being my people. Thank you for the prayers, thoughts, love, and support.

I am strong...
I am brave...
I am a fighter...
I will overcome!!

FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Who woulda thought four years would go by so fast!

I think back to my 23 year old self in admiration at what courage it took to begin this adventure. I remember setting a goal to hit three years and how far away that seemed to me. I won't lie I was nervous and beyond scared. There was always the what ifs and days I wanted to throw in the towel, but I am grateful for those struggles and lessons my business has given me. Four years ago I didn't know what things would look like today but things couldn't look better and I'm excited for the next four years to come.

The greatest thing I've gained in opening Brooklynn Studio has nothing to do with money but everything to do with the people that have come through my doors. My clients say I have changed their lives when in truth they have impacted my life beyond measures. I am honored and blessed to share the smiles and milestones along with the tears and grief with each and every one of you. You all are more then just clients, you have become my friends and like family. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, support, and time with me. I am beyond blessed to have you all.
