Many ask me why I’m not more visible locally; I don’t really *need* to be. I have lots of expanded visibility that extends even beyond the US. But I’ve run a couple of tests locally, and this is why:

This specific group has allowed MANY types of adverts including several church-related adverts—mostly ai slop and ads from one specific car dealership? Idk. Anyway, this is why. 😂

And it’s not specific to just this group either. I’ve tested the theory in a few different ones. I’ve also gone to other small businesses to pin cards or other things just as anyone else does, and they get covered or replaced with religious ads and bible verses.

Now, I have (cumulatively) a 22.6K audience, so this doesn’t bother me in the sense that it’s hindering me as a business, it’s not. But it DOES hinder fellow community members from engaging with something that could facilitate connection and belonging for them.

I assure you, you aren’t hurting me. But you are hurting your community. And that sucks. ☹️
