For four days, these women gave themselves permission to be exactly where they were…and actually enjoy it!

The older I get…

I realize she was always right. Nope, those girls weren’t my friend. Yep, I should’ve taken that course. Absolutely right—that guy was no good for me.

Today, I’m grateful to celebrate the love that raised me. To every mother reading this, whether you’ve raised your own children, nurtured your nieces and nephews, have God Babies, or poured into the kids in your neighborhood—you are seen and appreciated. The way you show up, sacrifice, love, and guide does not go unnoticed. Not today, not ever.

But I also want to speak to the women whose hearts feel a little heavier today. If you are missing your mom, never had the relationship you deserved, had a non-traditional mom, or had to become everything you needed on your own:

Your life is still full of love. You are still deeply supported. And even when it doesn’t feel like it, you are never without care. God has a way of filling in the gaps, of sending the right people, the right lessons, the right kind of love—right on time.

So, however today looks for you, celebratory, reflective, anger, or somewhere in between, honor it. Honor yourself. Honor the journey that shaped you.
