About: Tex is a young happy boy with lots of love to give. He previously had a female owner that he was very attached to but was not fond of living in a home with children, so he is now looking for a new home of his own. It is imperative that Tex goes to a home with no children (no exceptions will be made!). He is definitely a shadow dog who prefers to be with his humans as much as possible, although he does have some separation anxiety that will need to be worked on! He gets along with most other dogs with proper introduction and has proven he can share his space and toys with another dog in the household. He has a moderate energy level; he can be found playing all day but once he gets home, he is a couch potato. When at home he can be found chewing on his toys or lounging around on the couch. Although he loves his toys, he can be destructive with them if not given the proper ones since he loves to chew on them. He knows some basic commands and is house trained. His previous owner said he was crate trained; however, he needs a bit of a refresher on this. Tex would benefit from a quieter household that doesn’t have a lot of new people coming and going. He would do best with an owner who is committed to continuing training with him and giving him the proper structure to help him be the best dog he can be. He has endless love to give and just needs the right owner who is willing to work with him and his specific needs.

Tex is neutered, microchipped, and UTD on all vaccinations. He is located in Connecticut and is available through Army’s Legacy Animal Rescue And Sanctuary, Inc.
