The USS Constitution, other wise known as Old Ironsides, is a United States Naval vessel commissioned in 1797 and remains commissioned to this day. She’s an absolute piece of American Military history and heritage. But that also means that she’s needed repairs throughout the centuries. All wood used to repair Old Ironsides comes from a special Navy grove, and only American White Oak is used. Interestingly enough, in order to be considered true Bourbon, it must age in a barrel made from American White Oak.
