Jan's Hairshop

Well, I have safely travelled from the hospital to my house. I am safely inside and all is well!! Thank you everyone for all the prayers and expressed concern for Norma Lawson and myself.

As most of you know, we have had a couple bumps in the road over here at Jan’s Hairshop. Back on September 23, Norma broke her right wrist. She came back to work on a limited basis January 2. She has/is continuing to work her Wednesday, Thursday and Friday schedule but shorter hours and will content to do so. I (Jan) had a very severe case of vertigo starting February 18. I was ready to go back to work on February 24 but on the 23rd I slipped and fell at home and broke my hip so have been out with that. I am going home today and will be doing rehab and plan to be back soon. As if all that wasn’t enough, Norma’s 93 year old mother passed yesterday morning. Norma plans to continue to work, said she needs the therapy. So prayers would be appreciated. We appreciate all our loyal understanding clients during this time. I know it has been frustrating for all of you, and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. Hopefully, we will be back up to normal and running maybe not on all four cylinders but close! Again, we love and appreciate each and every one of you.

With a heart that feels heavy beyond words, we’re sharing some devastating news from our Jan’s Hair Shop family.

We lost one of our co-workers—someone who wasn’t just part of our shop, but part of our lives. She was like a daughter to me, and like family to all of us. The kind of person who brought warmth into a room without even trying, who cared deeply, and who left an imprint on everyone she met.

Right now, our focus is on surrounding her loved ones with support, prayers, and comfort in any way we can. If you’re able, we’re asking our community to please consider contributing to help her family during this heartbreaking time. Anything helps—donations, sharing this post, and keeping them in your prayers.
