It's bittersweet moments like this that bring so many emotions to the surface. Social&Mane Salon with a heavy, yet encouraging heart had to say goodbye to one of our favorite girls, Emily.

Emily was the perfect addition to our team. She is so talented, kind and can get along with anyone. You can't teach that type of talent and personality, which is why she's one of our favorites!

Emily, also had the blessing of becoming a Mother this year and has decided to work closer to home, which means the Branson commute no longer fits her lifestyle. We support her decision for her and her family, as well as support her in all her new adventures! We cannot wait to watch you grow Emily!

Thank you for being so wonderful to work with, and becoming another person we can call a friend.

With that being said, Social&Mane Salon now has a spot to fill!!

At our salon, we strive to be the best versions of ourselves and we encourage our girls daily in any moment possible. Our salon team is more than just a team, we are 100% family here.

Wanting to go brighter for the Fall!?

Have you ever wondered why your stylist applied a toner to your hair? I get this question a lot while I have a new client in my chair.

Most think that when we apply a toner, it means there’s a mistake we are having to correct. Although toners are GREAT for correcting an unwanted tone within the hair or a color correction, 99% of the time toners are applied to achieve a DESIRED tone goal.

When applying lightner, depending on our starting level within our clients hair, we go through stages of lift. Stages of lift include red tones, orange tones, and last but not least ... yellow tones.

Once we have lifted our client to the desired level we want, we can then apply a toner that will transform your current lift level to almost any color you desire. In .rico case, we lifted her to a pale yellow level 10 and applied one of my all time favorite toners, ShadesEQ 010 P Ivory Pearl!!

Toners not only give us all different finishes, they also add shine to the hair as well as seal down the cuticle giving us an amazing finished look!

I’ve always been a huge fan of doing what’s “opposite”, trend wise for the seasons. When it comes to Fall/Winter most like to grow their hair out.

has been a client of mine for some time now, and when she said “CHOP IT OFF” ... honey I did not HES-I-TATE !

Using all products we were able to yet again, achieve her desired goals!

with reds, I have learned it’s best to creat depth, and using multiple red tones in order to create a seamless transition from the root area to mid shaft and ends.

Have you ever applied an all over red, and experienced “HOT ROOTS”? By using a multiple tone technique, you can avoid this!

How do you create depth?

There’s many ways to create depth. In this particular session, I chose to apply a darker tonal root, a lighter tonal mid shaft , and also apply a balayage technique from mid shaft to ends.

ROOTS: Redken Color Fusion 4 Rr
Mid Shaft: Redken Color Fusion 6 Rr
Mid Shaft to Ends: Redken Flash Lift w/ Bonder inside 20 Vol
Toned: Redken ShadesEQ 08 Gi

When it comes to creating a color for you, you rely on our knowledge in the chemistry world, in order to give you your desired results.

Did you know that once you lighten the hair, you’re taking out pigmentations within the hair?

Did you know once the pigments are gone, you also have to “replace” those missing pigments in order to achieve a True Tone color?

For example, pre-lightened hair will have missing pigments. What would happen if you decided to just put a dark brown over it? Do you know?

C H O P , C H O P | Summer time is here, and that means tons of clients want brighter hair, and a new look!! I’m obsessed with this time of year with my clients, because I get to witness them growing and changing with a radiance about them that is revitalizing! wanted to chop off her hair for the summer, and add more dimension + brightness. We started with Flash Lift w/ Bonder inside, using a balayage technique! I then used ShadesEQ 09N+09P to tone her accent pieces! I’m in love with her frame piece, which directs a lot of her brightness around her face, to give her a natural looking glow, while popping her eyes! Check out her before and after’ 🤩

THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE 🔥 I love a good red to copper blonde blend. The two colors compliment each other so well!! One of my favorite go-to reds is Color Fusion 6 Rr. It’s so vibrant, and fades beautifully on tone! We touched up hair by dragging down her root color of 6 Rr, and then met halfway up with Redken Flash Lift W/ Bonder inside in a balayage technique! After we rinsed her out, we then toned her with ShadesEQ 08 Gi for a stunning gold iridescent finish! 💫 And now I can’t stop singing Alicia Keys , THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE!!!

A D D I N G L E N G T H - I have completely fallen in love with hand tied weft extensions! These provide not only an immediate transformation, but also give you the freedom to be creative with your layout to best serve your clients desires, and their fuller thicker hair dreams! came in wanting a transformation that would be NOTICED! I started with adding subtle balayage pieces to her hair, in order to give us a seamless transition from her natural hair, to her wefts. Using Flash Lift w/ Bonder inside allowed me to lighten her hair with absolutely no damage, to guarantee the health and integrity of her hair. I then toned her with ShadesEQ 07 M, which was the perfect match to her extensions! Wow, Michelle you are killing it girl!! Check out her before and after! 💫

Let’s T O N E it down for a moment .... This was such a fun project on !! We have been doing a bright blonde balayage on her for about a year now, but at her recent appointment she wanted to change it up! There’s many ways you can approach darkening, while still maintaining a balayage look. Here’s how I chose to do it!! I started with applying a darker root all over with Cover Fusion 5 N. I then went back through and applied Redken Gels 5 N placing each Gels section in all the right places in order to save her previously existing blonde balayage pieces. Basically I was doing a reverse balayage 🤩. Afterwards we applied all over ShadesEQ 07 M for the full 20 min, and this is our results!!!

From B O X D Y E to PROFESSIONAL !! 😏 As a licensed professional, we often do cringe at the thought of box dye/ home colors. However, it does sometimes excite us when we have the opportunity to color correct the box dye!! Haley was new to the salon, and had NEVER had her hair professionally colored before. This excited me even more, and I felt so honored I had the opportunity to be her first experience in the salon! 🥰 We tackled her hair with Flash Lift w/ Bonder Inside, and balayaged the lightner in all the right places in order to develop definition and depth within her hair. If you swipe left, you’ll see we started with a solid canvas of a orange blonde/ blornage, so after placing our balayage pieces in all the right places, we then covered between the balayaged pieces with Redken Gels 4 N!! After all of that fun was over and processed, we then toned her with ShadesEQ 07 M 🤤 Check out Haley’s beautiful transformation!!!! Oh, and she says she will definitely be back! We brought her over from the BOX DYE SIDE!! 🙌🏻

Brazilian Blowout is a specific brand of keratin treatment, a semi-permanent way to smooth frizz, soften hair texture, and make hair more manageable and easy to style. Giving us the smoothest, silkiest dreamiest results ever! For her color, we used Flash Lift w/ Bonder inside! We went in and blended up her money piece , and added a few more balayaged sections. We then toned her with ShadesEQ 09 P + 09 N. I can’t stop looking at her hair you guys!! 🤩
