Twenty-eight years ago I lost my hero and protector-my dad. I still Iove and miss him the same. Memories of him brings him alive again. He never failed to protect and love me. I still cry because a daughter's love for her parents never dies. I still remember his voice and the way he smiled, and the way he walked. I miss and love you dad. οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½

In 1948 a baby girl was born. Her name is Hien. I don't know the extent of the story but this baby girl was adopted sometime later by a Nam Vietnamese family. The couple who adopted this baby girl had I believe 3 baby girls of their own in the latter years. Hien's adopted mother died when Hien was 7 leaving her with several younger sisters and a dad to care for. When she was around 18 years of age, Hien got married and her first born baby boy died of an illness between the ages of 6 to 9 months. Sometime later her husband had to go to war-not sure how long that was for. Sometime after that she was a single mom for about a year to three boy toddlers. I don't know the whole story to that. After four baby boys (including the oldest that died) arrived a baby girl. At about 1 years old, Hien's daughter was dying of an illness at the age of about three. Hien's husband was in prison at the time, in Vietnam, for trying to find a way to escape Vietnam, but was caught. He begged to be excused to come home to say goodbye to his daughter as he held her in his arms. By some miracle their daughter lived. Hien grew up to be a mom to six living children. Her and her family escaped from Vietnam and
arrived to Malaysia in late 1978. Hien's family stayed in Malaysia for about two years and Finally arrived to America in 1980. That year both Hien and her husband got a job at IBM as a janitor. Not even a year later, Hien's husband was diagnosed with cancer. For the next 8 years until his death. Hien worked 3-4 jobs because her husband could no longer work. He passed in 1988, leaving her all 6 kids between the ages of 6-19 years old. In 2014, Hien lost another son. This feeling of this lost was unexplainable to anyone. Hien lived a very, very hard life. She's an extremely hard worker. This woman has endured nothing but hardship 'til this day. She lives for her 8 grandchildren and her remaining 5 children and daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws. This hard working woman with permanent chapped cracked skin on all 10 fingers, hunched back, yet still the most beautiful woman next to Mother Buddha is my mom. HAPPY 68th BIRTHDAY MOM! You are my hero, my role model, and my strength! I love you and I'm sorry I can't be with you on this day! (Yes, I called her😊). May Tien and dad be with you on this special day! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽπŸŽπŸŽβš½οΈβš½οΈβš½οΈπŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚

Gosh, these last 4 weeks have been so overwhelming, yet so beautiful. I woke up and smelled the roses (and coffee οΏ½) thanks to a friend name Allie who pretty much knocked on my head "hhgeeelllloooo?!?".... and gave me a suggestion. I now am settling in my new, yet smaller studio, which in fact looks so much nicer because it's rectangular vs. the square I had. I love my new studio. It was my original very first look into what I wanted my studio to look like. I decided to follow my heart and design it the way I truly want it to look like, not take anybody else's advice, not that previous advices have been bad. I just didn't feel like my last studio was "my" studio. I didn't like the pink color. I didn't like that it was all pink. I didn't like the shape of the room because it didn't allow me the wall space I needed to place my tables etc. I didn't feel warm and comfortable in it like I do in this new one. Maybe that's why I didn't feel happy in there and was always worrying. I feel so much more confident in this one. I'm definitely happier. I saved $500 by moving into a smaller studio so I'm definitely less stressed over money and I also got a third job working at a nail salon elsewhere so I can utilize the income from that to support my salon in Brea and keep it going for as long as I can. Thanks to my baby girl who's been helping me out moving studios and taking home what I don't need. Business will start up again on Wednesday of next week Loving life right now!!!!

I have to brag about my little one-the list below are none of which was she born with. As a parent I molded her so well that she became a better person than I am and that's every parent's goal. Currently holding a 4.64 GPA excelling in AP/Honors classes, this little girl of mine was introduced to Barnes N Noble in the first grade. That was our hang out every other day or for 4 days in a row, etc., for years (until she felt too cool to go everyday) . I first introduced her to first grade level books. She then couldn't separate herself from good ol' Garfield comics. I then introduced her to chapter books such as crime novels or the set of Nancy Drew but she skipped all that and went to the Harry Potter Series. From then on, scoring 2nd best in her entire school, she was reading and testing out at 9th grade level books in the 4th grade!!!....and since then has been non-stop dedicated to school. I love my daughter, but when I brag about her, it's not to rub it in anyone's face who may be struggling with their own children. I pray for all parents as IT IS NOT EASY being a parent. Nor is it easy being a child. We just have to make the best of each day, love and kiss each other EVERY SINGLE DAY because the next second they could be gone. I teach Britt that life isn't about how many hot men we've dated or how much money we have in the bank, nor is it about having fun. It's about making it to the end until we see the ALMIGHTY FATHER whom we ALL call God again-the Father of all things, Christ, Buddha, and the universe! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Nam Mo A Di Da Phat

I love you Britt! I know you're never on FB, but one day you will see this!
