Purposeful Growth & Wellness
Purposeful Growth & Wellness offers high-quality counseling, coaching, and consulting.
Everyone assumes this job is heavy. And some days it is. But most days look a lot more like this: a kiddo proudly telling me they used their belly breaths at recess, or that they finally slept in their own bed all week.
Those moments might seem small from the outside. In here, we celebrate them like the big deal they are. đ
If your child is working through big feelings, weâd love to walk alongside your family. Our team in Brecksville is here when youâre ready. Link in bio.

This is Sarah Saunders. đ¤
Founder of Purposeful Growth & Wellness. Therapist. Executive Leadership Coach. Consultant. Wife. Mom of four boys. And the person behind the vision of PGW.
Sarah built PGW because she believed there was room to do things differently.
She didnât want to simply build another therapy practice. She wanted to create something that reflected the way she actually sees people: as whole people.
Because we donât stop being human when we walk into work, sit down in a therapy office, become a parent, lead a team, or take on another title.
Sarah wanted therapy to feel personal and individualized. She wanted clinicians to have the freedom to truly meet people where they are. She wanted to bring conversations about mental health into spaces where they havenât always existed, especially leadership and organizations. And she wanted PGW to continue expanding what meaningful support can look like across different seasons of life.
That vision has taken her work into a lot of different spaces.
Some days sheâs sitting across from a therapy client. Other days sheâs coaching an executive, working alongside a leadership team, speaking to a room full of people, building PGW alongside an incredible team, or heading home to the beautiful chaos of raising four boys.
The roles may look different, but the heart behind them is the same.
Sarah is endlessly curious about people. What shapes us. What drives us. How our experiences influence the way we show up in our relationships, our families, our work, and our leadership.
Because there is always a person underneath the position.
PGW was built to honor that.
Not to fit people into boxes, but to create space to understand the whole person, recognize their potential, and help them grow with greater intention and purpose.
Thatâs the heart behind Sarahâs work.
And itâs the heart behind Purposeful Growth & Wellness. đ¤

Meet Abigayle Cox, CT đ¨
Say hello to Abigayle â counselor trainee and student art therapist here at PGW, currently earning her Masterâs in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ursuline College.
Abigayle believes healing doesnât always start with words. She works alongside children, adolescents, and families, using art-based methods to help them explore, express, and connect, especially when talk therapy alone doesnât feel like enough.
Bubbly, grounded, and deeply relational, Abigayle sees the therapeutic relationship itself as part of the healing, a space where repair, growth, and insight can unfold together. She offers individual, family, and art therapy sessions, both in-person and virtual, under the direct supervision of Sarah Saunders, LPCC-S.
Books we recommend for adults on their growth journey
Healing isnât just what happens in session, itâs also what you carry with you between them.
Here are a few reads our team keeps coming back to:
⨠The Body Keeps the Score â how trauma lives in the body, and the path back to feeling safe in it
⨠No Bad Parts â an invitation to understand every part of you with compassion, not judgment
⨠Homecoming â reconnecting with your inner child and reclaiming the parts of you left behind
⨠Why Is It Always About You? â a lens on narcissism and how to protect your peace around it
⨠Mother Hunger â naming the ache of what was missing, and beginning to heal it
⨠Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents â understanding the patterns you learned young, and how to finally step outside them
Growth doesnât happen all at once, sometimes it starts with the right book at the right time. đ
