I will NEVER talk down to you about your at home practices. If you cannot afford my products that I suggest, I will not tell you that you’re a bad person. However, I will educate you. This is a client of mine. She noticed a bit of breakage around her hairline. We both were open to the idea that, hey, she’s a blonde! Blonde hair breaks if it’s too dry, bleach overlaps, etc. I noticed that I could literally feel something in her hair and decided to investigate. I could take my fingers and SCRAPE OFF THE BUILDUP. I had to ask.

“Weird question, but are you using Pantene?”

She looked at me in surprise and said “How did you know?”

Ladies, this is wax. Wax from Pantene. It will build up on the hair and harden. Once it’s hard, it BREAKS YOUR HAIR.

When I’m telling you what products I am using, it’s not to belittle what you are doing at home. It’s to help you prevent unnecessary damage to your hair caused by drugstore products.

Today I officially became a business owner!

Today I took a step out of my comfort zone and decided to open up my own salon.

I wanted to a few months back but God’s timing did not align with my curiosity.

I had no plans to do this. It was 100% Gods timing. Isn’t it funny how his timing works?

So here are the Deets

Welcome to Uptown Rootz

I am located at the famous historical down town Brenham. Located at 123 W. Alamo St. Located above the famous Brenham Fine Arts League & Gallery, as well as Board & Brush and Tribal Trends. I will have a private alley entrance. Parking is conveniently located in front as well as behind the building 😁. I am located on the second floor so feel free to take the stairs with industrial exposed brick views or our stress free elevator.

I will still be working full time at my first home, The Golden Mirror, until the end of this Month. I will be on vacation from July 25th- August 6th. So the 7th will be my first day in the new place. I have built such a wonderful relationship will all my co-workers at The Golden Mirror as well as the Owner. They will always hold a special place in my heart.

The new shop will slowly evolve into an industrial uptown style salon.
Being that I have 1800 square feet, the services offered will be endless. My goal is to grow a salon with the idea of bringing my clients an elegant experience without emptying out ya pockets. My pricing will continue to be the same. 👏 With that being said, I am on the lookout for a couple of stylist. I would LOVE to have microblanding & Lashes♥️♥️ as well as a couple fellow stylist. Upbeat, eager to work & ready for a fun ride of growth. God is good and I cannot wait for y’all to experience Uptown Rootz❗️
