Due to the expense of needing to purchase PPE for both myself and my clients, I have decided to disconnect the salon landline and wi-Fi. It will save me $85 a month! To make an appointment you can call or text my cell phone at 603-608-6882. Many of you have asked if I will be increasing my prices due to the extra PPE expenses. The answer is no, not at this time. I feel so many of us have been impacted financially with COVID-19, and we are in this together!
Most of you already know my salon is opening Monday, June 1. I am just about ready and really looking forward to seeing you all!! There is so much to do to be able to open my business, but it is all well worth it to keep all of us safe! ❤️

Have I enjoyed being home all these past weeks? YES!!!!!! Hahaha
But I also really miss my business and all of you. My salon will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This schedule gives me the best of both worlds 😍

I’m sure you heard that hair salons and barbershops were allowed to open on Monday May 11, and I just wanted to let you all know my plans. Here at Face Works Plus there are 6 of us that work together owning our own businesses. We all decided collectively that we are going to stay closed and open our businesses on June 1. Aestheticians and massage therapist may need to wait longer in opening their businesses. A couple of the girls have asthma and one has an auto immune disease. We have concerns about opening Face Works Plus too soon.
And also by keeping our salon closed a couple of weeks longer than other salons, it will give the state a chance to see what happens with the virus numbers. It would be awful if the numbers jumped up so much that we would need to close our salons and re-file for unemployment all over again. Some of us just started getting paid last week.
I will be contacting each of you and calling clients that had appointments booked that first week we needed to close. So I will be starting with clients that were booked on Tuesday, March 24 and go from there. Also the State of NH has set some rules for us and they are as follows:
1. Only one client per stylist at a time in the building.
2. Services limited to haircuts and root touch-up color services. * No highliting, No perming, No beard/mustache trims, and No blow drying and styling of hair. (The reason for no blow drying is the concern of blowing possible contaminant droplets around in the building. )
3. Client and stylist are to wear ear-loop facemasks at all times. ( I will have these ear-loop masks available for you if you don’t currently have this type yourself. )
4. Use alcohol based hand sanitizer before entering the building. I have a no-touch hand sanitizer dispenser.
5. Client’s temperature taken before entering building.
6. Client to answer questions concerning COVID-19 before appointment.
7. Client must wait in car until called in by stylist.
8. Exact cash or check accepted only. I am not allowed to give change back to you.
9. And I would like to add 1 more request. If you are coming for a haircut only. It would be appreciated if you could wash your hair prior and arrive wet. This will save the disinfecting process at the shampoo bowl. Please don’t worry if this is not possible!

The decision to close our businesses is an enormous decision!! I struggle whether to keep my salon open every minute of every day. My fellow coworkers have all decided to close. They all made their decisions for a variety of reasons and it was very difficult! I am going to try to stay open for 1 more week and closing indefinitely on Saturday March 28... this could change of course! It really is day to day for all of us. I am taking every safety precaution possible! I’m watching every news conference, reading what other salons are doing, and contacting all of my clients before they arrive. There is only 1 client in my salon at a time. Leaving time in between for a complete sanitation of every surface, implement used, door k***s, chairs, sink, pens...EVERYTHING! If you have an up-coming appointment with me, I will be reaching out to you. I can be in my salon Monday thru Saturday to accommodate as many of you I can following my new procedures. Thank you all so much! Staying healthy and safe has to be all of our #1 concern. Looking forward to seeing all of you again when this horrible virus is behind us ❤️
