26 YEARS!

26 years ago this month I walked into a salon in Danville, CA as a 17 year old high school student looking to get hired as an apprentice. 26 years later you can still find me behind the chair doing what I love… a career that has brought me so many blessings over the years. A career that helped me move into my first apartment at 18 years old, a career that allowed me to stay home for the majority of my children’s childhood and raise them, a career where I have made so many lifelong friends, a career where I have been with my clients through huge life milestones, I’ve watched my clients children grow up before my eyes, and I have been able to find support in my clients when I need it as well. It’s never been about just creating amazing hair. It always makes me smile when I have a client come in that has been with me for the entirety of my career. So many great salons over the years… nothing beats the memories from the early days at Studio LCJ in Alamo, and Aqua Salon & Spa in Alamo and of course Dolce Salon in Danville. I’m proud that I’ve been able to show up for my clients over the last 26 years… I’ll never forget the support I received as a young stylist, navigating the cosmetology world, and since then navigating a marriage, having children, a divorce, moving my business from Danville to the Brentwood area, surviving the salon closures during Covid and the challenges being a stylist can bring both mentally and physically…but I’m still going!!!
