The Apothecary is getting restocked and adding a few new items in the works. This month has been about honoring the archetype of the Great Mother, remembering to nourish ourselves so we can nourish those we love. Our natural products are a wonderful way to give back to yourself or the mother figure in your life.

This month we're featuring the magic of the rose. Check out our Rose Milk Bath Tea or our brand new Full Moon Essential Oil Roller scented with white tea, bergamot, and rose.

Our lotion bars are made with Calendula infused olive oil providing moisturizing and healing properties to dry skin. The warmth from your body heat softens these pretty bars. You can either rub the bar directly on your skin or rub it in your hands and then spread the lotion across your body. We offer 3 scents currently: Lavender Lemon, White Tea, and Sweet Orange.

Happy Imbolc!! Today is the Gaelic festival celebrating the halfway point between Winter and Spring. Its been warm and sunny here and we've been stretching out in the sun like a cat. Our herb for the month is Calendula and it's perfect for today's celebration. Bright and cheerful, these sunny flower are also known as Marigolds and are a skin-care superstar.

Calendula has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties making it the perfect ingredient for wound salves and skin irritations. Wonderful for use on rashes, minor wounds, and insect bites/stings. Calendula can be added to hair rinses to sooth an inflamed scalp or to lip balms to heal chapped lips.

All month long we'll be featuring our products, new and old, that are infused with Calendula.

As the weather has been cold and dreary, I've been spending time wintering. Wintering is the idea of slowing down and turning inward to reflect. As such, I've decided to pivot Potions a bit and hope you'll come along for the ride.

Our current society does not recognize the medicinal benefits of herbs and most selling platforms don't allow you to talk about those benefits. Moving forward, each month I'll feature an herb I use in our products. We'll discuss its benefits here along with a little folklore for fun. Throughout that month, I'll feature products, new and old, containing that herb.

This little jar contains Calendula infusing in sweet almond oil. Starting in February our first herb will be Calendula.

Happy New Year!! I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday season. I spent the time in between the years to truly rest and reflect. Now it's time to start moving forward again. 2024 will bring more beautiful herbs to share with you all and new, lighter creams/lotions as we move out of the belly of winter.
