The human experience is designed to move in waves.

We have held bodies of knowledge for over ten thousand years relating to emotions, energy centers, and the connection of our bodies to nature.

As we began to lose touch with the rhythms of the natural world, we forgot the ways in which emotion would be metabolized. Rather than experiencing feelings as they are, we pathologize and shame them, causing a cascade where the body has no choice but to store all that was left unresolved.

The effect? Deep-rooted lesions within the body and psyche that then are viewed as inherent traits rather than as responses.

How could our relationship to not only our bodies, but life itself, change if we allowed ourselves to feel fully? Not categorizing, avoiding, or decoding—but experiencing?

We hold an ability to witness our feelings like the waves of the ocean—feeling them rise, fall, and change into something completely different. And when we allow our bodies to be vehicles for an experience rather than storage houses, we breathe—we release.

Because feelings are not inherently burdensome; They hold an incredible amount of beauty.

Anger reveals where we may be stuck, but it also shows the depth of our heart. Grief, although painful, reveals our deepest capacity for love. Joy shows how capable we are to relish in the gift of life despite it all.

If you do one thing to connect today, let it be feeling—not through analyzing, but through experiencing. What does it feel like to see your body with honesty and let it be a guide into a world we cannot see?

And in the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, “Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.”

Let your body speak and the mind rest in its explanations. Every cell, organ, muscle, and bone will begin to breathe differently and experience life in an entirely new way.
