I always have to remind myself that soap frosting is still soap no matter how tasty it looks 😋

It's that time of year again! It's Peach Days 2024 in Brigham City today and tomorrow! 🍑

One thing extra special about this year is that I am a vendor! I'll be set up among the booths to the far West near Forest Street & 300 West and the museum. Come see me and all of the other wonderful vendors for shopping and food!

Welp, that happened 😵‍💫

The fragrance test notes from the company said slight acceleration with significant ricing so I tried all of the tricks I knew to prevent ricing. What I wasn't prepared for was for the acceleration to be so significant that I couldn't even make sure all of the lye water was mixed in.

I'm definitely not using this particular fragrance oil for soap again and now I don't know what to do with it. It's a really clean greenery scent that I really like but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes!

I'm proud to present a new soap recipe: the Mechanic's Soap! The bulk of the bar is coconut oil and that makes it really good at stripping dirt, oil, and grease. The recipe does have avocado and castor oil to ease the harshness and have a good lather.

This bar in particular is scented the same as the Campfire bars so it the same smokey smell 🏕

And the reveal! These fiery little hearts are scented with a light woodsmoke fragrance that makes me think of campfires under the stars.

Color theory always amazes me! This is True Red blend that never disappoints ❤️
