I just want to take a moment and thank every single client I have had over the years! I have retired to doing hair for a very select few out of my home. And taking care of the elder salons. College in the fall for a mental health and social work degree. 😌 I am ready for this next adventure! Thank you for supporting me through all the surgeries, salons, divorce, marriage and an unexpected baby at 38! I love you all!! Peace and blessings!!!

Welp, the time has come, as of May 1st 2024, all services will increase by $5.00. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

At first I was a bit taken back… ā€œa large company like this can’t have more flexibility and compassion if something should happen that’s out of my control … illness or car issues, even weather ā‰ļø ā€œ

Then I realized a large corporation has EVEN more staff to pay, rooms to book, bills to cover whether you show up for your booking or not.

We COMPLETELY understand life happens, but what’s often forgotten is you’re only ONE person in a week of bookings. Can you imagine if this happened 2 or 3 times a week (during cold and flu season you can imagine how many last minute cancellations can happen). So yes-to you, you are ONE person, one cancellation, one sick child with no daycare. But to US you could be the third appointment that week that has cut our paycheque in half.

Deposit policies and cancellation fees ARE. NOT. PERSONAL.

Please understand your service provider is trying to earn a living, pay rent and overhead expenses that don’t go away whether or not you show up for your scheduled appointment.

The craziest comment we get is… ā€œ so you would rather I show up for my appointment sickā€¼ļøā‰ļø ā€œā€¦ No. we would not rather that. We would rather you understand our deposit policy when it’s explained to you prior to booking, decide for yourself if our team values and business policies work for you. If using your deposit to cover a SMALL portion of lost wages when last minute cancelling isn’t something that you can get behind… we get that, there’s zero 0ļøāƒ£ obligation to book. We know we know … ā€œ but this isn’t my fault ..ā€ but the question we have to ask is, if this isn’t an appropriate time to forfeit your deposit, when is ?

It’s becoming common to see service providers and even restaurants secure deposits to reserve bookings to ensure their business can stay alive and profitable.
Most, wouldn’t think twice before booking again at a hotel, despite loosing money for not being able to make their reservation.
Please think about the small businesses you might be slandering for simply enforcing a policy you agreed to.

We appreciate all of YOU who support US šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Yes! I can't tell you how many no shows I get. I have yet to have the courage to charge them. Shame on me. But I have broken up with them.

Good morning my beautiful hair community. I wanted to share some great news!

I have decided to return to school for a mental health and social work degree!

What that will look like for you as clients:
Same great hair services!
Same affordable prices!
Same great styling products!
Slight shift in hours of availability!
Going down to two days a week instead of 3. Mostly Thursday & Saturday. I will be flexible as always based on needs.

Thank you for all of the years of support throughout my career. My moves to new locations, my pregnancy, my surgeries!! Your support has been a blessing all these years! I'll continue to do hair as long as I can. Of course there will be more information as it comes.
Have a blessed day! šŸ™Œ
