Inclusive Hair Services for All Ages ✂️💇🏼‍♂️💙

All ages, all abilities, all good vibes 💙✂️ From sensory-friendly care to everyday style, I’ve got you covered—wherever you are (yes, I’m mobile too!). 🚗

😂 Things I’ve learned as a hairstylist who works with kids…

If you tell me:

✂️ “He’s NEVER going to sit still.”
I believe you.

✂️ “She absolutely HATES the cape.”
No problem, the cape is optional. 😂

✂️ “He might need a snack.”
I have snacks. 🍪

✂️ “She usually needs a million breaks.”
Then we’ll take a million breaks.

✂️ “They’ve never made it through a whole haircut before.”
Okay… challenge accepted. 😏

Because sometimes a successful haircut isn’t about sitting perfectly still in the chair for 30 minutes.

Sometimes it’s standing up.
Sometimes it’s watching a show.
Sometimes it’s taking breaks.
Sometimes it’s cutting one little section at a time.

And sometimes we celebrate because we got ✨THAT✨ one piece of hair trimmed. 😂💙

No judgment. No expectations that every kid will behave like a tiny adult.

Just a stylist who genuinely enjoys figuring out what works for YOUR kiddo. 🥹✂️

👇 Parents of haircut-resistant kiddos: what is the funniest thing your child has done to avoid a haircut? I KNOW you have stories. 😂

A haircut might seem like a small thing to some people… but for some families, it can feel like a mountain. 💙

The lights can be too bright.
The sounds can be too loud.
The cape can feel uncomfortable.
Sitting still can feel impossible.
And sometimes, simply being touched can be overwhelming.

That’s why I believe salons have an opportunity to do things a little differently.

Give someone extra time.
Turn down the lights.
Take a break.
Let them stand up.
Use a fidget.
Skip the cape.
Meet them where they are.

Most importantly, don’t judge.

You never know how much courage it took for someone to walk through your door.

Every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome in the salon chair. ✂️💙

Let’s make more salons places where EVERYONE belongs. 🫶

Commission on Medicaid - Interim Committee | Colorado General Assembly 09/15/2026

🚨 COLORADO WAIVER FAMILIES — PLEASE READ & SHARE 🚨

If you have a child receiving services through the CES or CHRP waivers, a loved one receiving services through the DD waiver, or you provide care for someone with intellectual/developmental disabilities, please take a few minutes to read this.

The Colorado Commission on Medicaid is meeting THIS THURSDAY, September 17 at 10:00 AM, and the agenda includes discussions about long-term care and services for people with disabilities, Medicaid costs, and public testimony. (Colorado General Assembly)

There are important changes happening around Colorado’s Medicaid and waiver programs that families should be aware of.

One major issue is the transition from the children’s CES and CHRP waivers into adult DD services. HCPF has proposed changes that would end automatic youth-to-adult DD waiver transitions for certain children aging out of CES or CHRP, while maintaining other pathways for specific circumstances. (Colorado Health Policy)

These changes matter because access to Medicaid waiver services can have a huge impact on families’ ability to care for their loved ones safely at home and in their communities.

💙 If you are a waiver family, caregiver, provider, or disability advocate, now is a good time to learn what is being proposed and make sure your voice is heard.

As a business that works with children and adults with disabilities and sensory needs, I know how important appropriate support and access to services can be for families. 💙

💙 DID YOU KNOW I OFFER MOBILE HAIRCUTS?! 💙✂️

Sometimes getting the whole family to a salon is just a lot. Between busy schedules, little ones, sensory sensitivities, special needs, or simply feeling more comfortable at home, a traditional salon setting doesn’t work for everyone, and that’s okay! 🥹

That’s why Cruisin’ Cutz comes to you! 🚗✂️🏡

I offer mobile haircuts for families who would rather have their haircuts done in the comfort of their own home. I can work with kids, adults, sensory-sensitive clients, and anyone who needs a little extra patience and flexibility.

💙 No judgment
💙 No rushing
💙 A comfortable, familiar environment
💙 Multiple family members welcome
💙 Sensory-friendly approach
💙 I meet you where you’re at

And if you have a whole crew at home that’s looking a little “scruffy”… 😂 I’ve got you!

I truly try my best to make haircuts accessible and affordable for families while providing an experience that feels comfortable and stress-free.

🏁 SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT! ✂️💙

Meet one of our Cruisin’ Cutz kiddos! 🥰

Every kiddo who comes through my door has their own personality, their own comfort level, and their own little victories.

Saturday is a perfect day to celebrate those kiddos! 💙

We could feature a recent client with their parent’s permission and share:

✨ Their favorite thing about getting a haircut
🚗 Their favorite car/chair
🎮 What they like to watch
✂️ What helps them feel comfortable
💙 Their haircut transformation
🥹 And their BIGGEST victory!

Because every kiddo deserves their moment in the spotlight. 🌟

And if your kiddo has been in my chair, drop a picture of them in the comments! 📸👇🏼

I’d LOVE to see all of my Cruisin’ Cutz kiddos! 💙

💙 FEEL-GOOD FRIDAY 💙

Sometimes the little things are actually the BIG things. 🥹

A kiddo who was nervous but gave it a try.
A first haircut. ✂️
A smile at the end of an appointment.
A parent who says, “I’ve never seen them do this well before.” 🥹

THOSE are the moments that make my heart so full. 💙

I want to celebrate the wins — big, small, messy, imperfect, and everything in between.

So tell me:

👇🏼 What’s something GOOD that happened for you this week?

Maybe your kiddo accomplished something.
Maybe you survived a crazy week. 😂
Maybe you got good news.
Maybe you simply made it to Friday. 🙌🏼

Drop your Friday win in the comments! 🎉💙

Let’s fill this little corner of the internet with some GOOD news. 🫶🏼
