**Long Post that Includes Important Info!**

I absolutely love, love, love waxing! It has been a game changer for not only me, but for my clients as well!
Say goodbye to razor burns and dealing with fast regrowth! 🙋🏻‍♀️Waxing seems to have a bad rep thanks to jokes made in movies/shows and other sources of entertainment. But, I’ve learned in life-most of the time the things we are afraid of are usually not as scary as we initially thought when trying them out for ourselves!

My clients constantly rave about the quality of service and the results they see from waxing—confirming what I already know to be true myself; that waxing is more cost efficient and less of a hassle when having the services done professionally! I hate shaving and find ingrown hairs less likely to occur with waxing. The most interesting thing my clients have came to me about is that they went weeks to over a month without regrowth! Some have even stated they haven’t had any regrowth in certain places after only one wax session! Which is truly amazing!🤗

I have a passion for waxing and the quality and care of our skin, that being said, I only use high quality hard wax in my spa! By using hard wax for my services it makes for a smooth session and it doesn’t damage your skin when used correctly! Soft waxes that have been used in the past strip the skin and they don’t allow your esthetician to go over an area more than once which results in painfully long and agonizing tweezing of individual hairs! Hard wax allows me to go over the skin more than once and I find that it wraps around the hairs more accurately, allowing the hairs to be pulled out by the roots rather than being broken off causing stubble, ingrowns, and client’s wasting away money.

In this post I wanted to include some important tips for my clients before scheduling for a wax appointment:

-There is a certain length your hair should be to make the service more comfortable for you! (I usually compare the perfect regrowth length to the length of one’s eyebrow hair—no shorter than a grain of rice)
-You SHOULD exfoliate the skin the day before your appointment
-You SHOULD cleanse the skin the day of your appointment to remove any natural oils and dirt which helps in the prevention of infection
-You SHOULD consult your general practitioner to make sure it is safe for you to get waxed if you suffer from certain health problems (ie. high blood pressure)
-I always recommend my clients, if they’re safely able to, take a form of pain medication 2-3hrs prior to their appointment to make the service being performed as comfortable as possible.
-Wearing loose clothing is always recommended

-Do NOT apply any lotions, oils, deodorant etc prior to your appointment
-Waxing unfortunately is NOT for you if you have used certain skin medications in less than a year’s time, as well if you have certain skin problems (ie. Eczema, Acne,etc)
-I do NOT recommend my clients should schedule a wax service while taking certain antibiotics due to them causing the skin to sensitize which makes for a very uncomfortable service
-Do NOT participate in any type of activities that exposes the skin to heat which causes perspiration as it can irritate the area and open the door for a risk of infection for atleast 24-48hrs post-wax
-Do NOT apply anything that contains fragrances for atleast 24hrs
