Ever wanted to ask how hours work?

Basically, every state requires a set number of hours before you're eligible to test for your license. For the state of Virginia, it's 1,000 hours, or about 6 months of full-time attendance. The license covers hair services like cutting, styling, coloring, chemical waving and straightening, etc., manicures and pedicures, and basic skin and facial services such as makeup, basic facial treatments, and waxing.

There's also a minimum number of each service students are required to perform either on a mannequin or a client. We keep track of every student's progress. While the state has minimum requirements, we also have a quality threshold we require students to meet before considering it achieved.

That's why you'll see us (and our students) posting real client transformations. It's part of their training and we love showing off their success.
