I want to introduce myself so everyone can get to know me a little better before your visit. I am a resident here in Bristol Va. I am originally from Abingdon and grew up on South Holston Lake. I graduated from Virginia High School in 2005. From a very early age I knew

that I wanted to be a "hairdresser". I excelled in Cosmetology thanks to my awesome teacher Toni Phelps. I went on to take my state boards in 12th grade and passed. I worked as an assistant for 6 years doing hair washing and blowouts after I realized cuts and color just wasn't my niche. In 12/2023 I purchased the first head spa bed and officially opened in March 2024. The whole purpose behind buying the bed wasn't to make a career out of it, I actually bought it to help my granny wash her hair since it was easier than showering due to her dementia. Unfortunately, her dementia worsened, and she wasn't able to get on the bed by the time it arrived in the US, so I found a space for it and the rest is history! I named my business "MA Head Spa". MA means "my" in French and my middle initial is A. So, it fits perfectly. When my clients come to see me, I will always ask if they're having issue scalp issues. And from there we will break down any kind of ailments as to why your hair and scalp is in distress. I go about things in a holistic route because a lot of issues will come from within. So, it's really important you can find the root cause and then speak to a doctor or a holistic practitioner to see if any medications or vitamins are needed. Your session is always going to be about YOU and what I can do to help. I am very knowledgeable on natural remedies for many things, given the fact I have autoimmune conditions and have dealt with hair loss. I have even lost my eyebrows! It's a heartbreaking ordeal to have to go through and I will do all I can for you. ALSO, if you're just wanting to relax, I've got you covered there too! I have practiced and received my certificate in Chinese Scalp Therapy and Indian Head Massage. I have also received my certificate as an educator for Actiive Hair Growth products. Gift Card Policy Update

Effective immediately, I will no longer be offering gift cards. Already purchased gift cards are still valid.

If you would like to purchase a service for someone as a gift, please schedule the appointment on their behalf. The credit card provided at the time of booking will be securely stored and processed on the day of the service, after the appointment has been completed.

A few updates regarding online booking to help keep things simple and smooth for everyone:

• Appointments CAN be booked using gift cards through Vagaro, and no deposit is required.
• If you experience any issues using your gift card online, you are still welcome to book your appointment.
• All available appointment days, times, and services are listed online for convenience.
• While online booking through the website may occasionally be tricky, the Vagaro app is much easier to use and highly recommended.

At this time, credit cards will not be captured and deposits will not be required. I kindly encourage cash payments when possible to help avoid additional credit card processing fees for both myself and my clients.

I completely understand that life happens — illnesses, emergencies, and unexpected situations can come up on either side. However, repeated no-shows or failure to communicate will result in removal from my booking system and future appointments will no longer be accepted.

I’d also like to sincerely apologize if I’m unable to respond immediately to messages or calls. As a one-woman business, I am often in sessions and away from my phone while giving clients my full attention.
