Hairstylists!! What color brands have you been reaching for most lately? I love trying new products behind the hair & am looking to have some different options.
Requirements:
> cruelty-free
> affordable (under $10/bottle or tube)
> alkaline (I prefer the coverage!)
> good shade range

Extensions aren’t just for length — that’s all hers.
Extensions add thickness & density as well as allow for color transformations that aren’t always possible on your natural hair.
The hair’s integrity should always be the main priority — so if I can avoid lightening, I’m going to do just that!
But not only that, there’s times where lightening the hair (even aggressively) just isn’t going to give the results you want.
This client has been coloring her hair with permanent black for years, there was no way that we’d be able to lift her to a clean platinum, period, but especially while maintaining length & fullness. So, we turn to another tool on our belt!
Tape-ins are my favorite way to add color & density quickly, without sacrificing the health of your hair.
This look was created with a gloss & one pack of in the shade Manon with half the pack custom colored with color calypso demi gloss in 5CC — we also rooted the extensions with 2N for a more seamless blend. ⛓️🥀

Struggling with imposter syndrome, anxiety, panic attacks, & various OCDs has made EVERY SINGLE “what-if” thought pop into my head.
& it stays on a loop, like a record playing over & over again until I finally give into it.
It wasn’t until I started talking back that I finally realized, it doesn’t matter.
The what-ifs.
The doubt.
The anxiety.
The shame.
The fear of embarrassment.
Because literally who cares?
Do you think people remember that post that only had 3 likes? Or the time you tried your hand at a new skill? Or the time a business idea didn’t work out like you thought it would?
Sometimes we think a little too much of ourselves that we believe people are THAT invested in our lives.
So just DO IT. Launch the business. Start the podcast. Take that class. Post that content.
Because literally, WHO CARES?!
It’s your life, live it. 🤍
| love getting to the salon an hour early to make sure that I’m first & foremost ready to take on the day.
This is when I clean & set up for my day, pray over my clients, & really just take 20 minutes for myself before I start.
This allows me to not feel rushed or flustered & it creates a more professional environment when I’m not walking in WITH my client & putting away my color order while I’m consulting with them on what they want (iykyk).
If you’re feeling stuck or burnt out, try coming to work a little earlier - even if all you do is sit in the parking lot for 10 minutes before walking in!

I am TERRIBLE at taking pictures, need to only post reels from now on 🥲
But look at how pretty a full head of Darcy looks (& btw, this is only 100 grams — you don’t always need pounds of hair to make a difference!), she’s the perfect addition to any bronde that sits in your chair! 🧸

What a perfect example of how much lighting matters — see how when I moved her hair there was a warm reflect? That was the literal sun coming through the trees! As much as I love some good ol’ sunshine, it isn’t great when you’re trying to show off your cool beige lived in color 🥲
Regardless, this color is gorgeous & please understand that color is reflective of its environment! ☀️☀️

Subtlety ✨
I used 200 grams, 24” of in the shades Isla & Coco to create this beautiful subtle dimension & full length 🤍
We glossed Isla to match her lift with 5N, 6Ch, 6VG, & 5Gr & darkened Coco with 4N & 5N — I love these shades on their own but it’s all the better that they color EXTREMELY well so I never have to be worried about a funky result! 🪩
