This morning, I took a nostalgic walk through the journey of Candid Class. It all began as a humble blog back in 2016, just before I welcomed my first child into the world. This blog served as a platform for me to share my ever-growing knowledge about skincare. Fast forward to 2018 when I began hosting classes in my home, offering a sales-free environment for women to explore the world of beauty together. (I'm proud to say these Renew classes are still enjoyed by women today).

In 2020, I seized a precious opportunity to further my education, dedicating myself to formal schooling to earn valuable credentials. This was a pivotal moment that allowed me to broaden my knowledge and extend my reach. These efforts culminated in the opening of the Candid Class Skin Studio in Broadview Heights, Ohio, on April 1, 2021.

Little did I know that just over a year later, I would be taking on a new challenge: transforming the very space I had once rented into an entirely new business. My new venture aimed to provide a serene sanctuary for clients to escape, unwind, and rejuvenate. Additionally, I wanted to provide a platform to support other professionals in the industry.

This photo was taken at the beginning of February 2023, when the realization of my commitments was coming sharply into focus. I was juggling a renovation, choosing paint colors, making design decisions, crunching budget numbers, naming and branding a new business, setting goals, and tending to clients, all while preserving my sanity. 9 months later, I'm very happy and proud of where I am today! Shoutout to my co-founder and brand strategist , whose invaluable contributions have deeply shaped .wellness.center. I am grateful for how you have woven your heart together with mine. ❤️

What began as an outlet in 2016 has blossomed into something beyond my wildest dreams. And I'm confident the next growth spurt is just around the corner! Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey of nurturing women from Skin to Soul.

During the day, I'm mom to this little one and her older siblings, which sometimes includes embarking on adventurous hikes in the rain! 😄

In the evening, I train and empower women from skin to soul. One of the ways I've been doing this for quite some time is by organizing events known as Renew, where women gather to discover inspiration and beauty. Excitingly, this week marks the first Renew event in a brand new location, thoughtfully designed for this very purpose! 🌟

Just like we switch up our clothing choices as the seasons shift, I've found it beneficial to adjust my skincare routine, too. It's interesting how our skin's needs change with the weather, so I like to take a moment to assess and make tweaks to keep my skin happy and balanced. With the cooler temperatures and lower humidity, I've noticed some differences in my skin this fall. Are you experiencing any changes in your skin, and are you prepared for the upcoming weather?

Here in Ohio, it went from a high of 78° to a high of 43° within two days! Despite constant light rain, we went on a family hike over the weekend and my husband took this gorgeous photo of a leaf turning. 🍂 How are we already on the cusp of winter? ❄️
