- Begin with a clearly defined baseline at the nape.
- Work with the natural fall of the hair, especially for a blunt bob.
- Avoid over-directing the hair.
✨ 2. Maintain consistent tension
- Keep your finger angle, elevation, and tension consistent throughout cutting the hair.
- Excessive tension can cause the hair to appear shorter when it returns to its natural position.
✨ 3. Cross-check the haircut
- Compare the left and right sides after the cut.
- Check the haircut with the mannequin head in a neutral, upright position because head position can distort the apparent length.
