Every client’s journey is unique, and sometimes even the most experienced locticians are presented with a challenge.

This client came in for a consultation and truly had us thinking. His locs were originally started with two-strand twists, but without proper maintenance, the base of his locs had become compromised and experienced significant breakage.

🔹 STEP 1: Loc Removal
Although we do not typically offer loc takedown services, we knew it was necessary to see the full condition of his hair. During the process, a significant amount of hair was lost due to existing breakage, reducing his overall length by nearly half.

🔹 STEP 2: Complete Re-Parting
After discussing his goals, we redesigned and reparted his entire grid, creating larger sections to make future maintenance easier and more manageable.

🔹 STEP 3: Instant Loc Reconstruction
Using instant loc techniques, we reconstructed his foundation and created locs to restore his look. The results were strong, clean, and secure, with a solid foundation for healthy growth moving forward.

🔹 STEP 4: Protective Styling
To help maintain his new locs, we finished with a style that will support easier upkeep between appointments. We also learned more about his hair's texture and softness, allowing us to customize future maintenance plans for even better results.
