Let’s go get some water for the house!

We found out a mom/grandma in town was providing all the crafts and snacks for kids club!
So of course we stepped in to help.
And because of you, we could 💛
This is just the beginning—she’s going to be so surprised and so loved.

I couldn’t say it better. Learning what nature provides is amazing, but learning how to give back to the land is what really matters.

Winter is for slowing down and recharging before spring 🌱❄️
Rest doesn’t come easy for me, but I’m learning — using this season to plan our garden and dream about everything I hope to grow, can, and preserve 🫙✨

Throwback to the warmer weather at 9°F ! Oh how I’d love to see those temps again 😅

We’ve always believed in getting as much as possible from any animal we process, but out here it goes even deeper. Wasting any part of an animal is considered disrespectful—and we couldn’t agree more. The caribou gifted to us was used in every way possible: food for our family, food for our dogs, the hide turned into a blanket, and even the remaining pieces used for trap line bait. We’re grateful to say not a single part went to waste. 🤍

Good morning! ❄️ With temps dipping to -56°F, we brought the sled dogs inside to warm their bones—and you get the first look at Moca, who is officially retired 🤍
For this dog yard, retirement isn’t about age. When a dog loses interest in pulling, they’ve earned their rest. Moca just turned 12 and has made it clear she’s done with the trails, so she’ll be spending her days cozy inside by the fire where she belongs. 🔥

I’m over here “wasting” water like the community well house didn’t just freeze solid 😭🤣. These record-breaking temps have everything freezing if the equipment isn’t put back just right. So thankful for another 100 gallons in the tank tonight… now time to do dishes! 🧼❄️

Good morning! It’s so cold today but we decided to carry bicycles down to our heated shop and let the little girls ride for a lil bit to get out of the house! 🚲 ❄️
