Is facial massage “fluff”?
It is if you don’t get results. And too many massage techniques don’t have much ummmphhh. Feels nice, but…
I love relaxation as much as you do, but clients are more convinced to pay when there are specific results, results they can see and feel, and quite frankly, show off.
The result they’ll pay for is transformation.
The transformation they’ve come to expect from celebrity endorsements is face lifting - high cheeks, sculpted jawline or “V-line”, firm and glowing skin.
When your work produces results that are noticeable and lasting, your confidence grows — and so does your client list.
If you'd like to explore this approach, comment LASTING below.
Those results cannot be from haphazard application of the same old techniques you see everywhere on the internet. It also is less likely to happen when the same “steps” are applied to every client. Not everyone is the same - clients’ needs vary. So techniques must too.
Admit it - when you get results that wows your client, you feel terrific!
That feeling repeated turns into CONFIDENCE!
And increased confidence attracts more clients…and the ability to be a FULLY BOOKED esthetician or massage therapist.
You can then EARN what you DESERVE, without killing yourself every hour of every day :)
Let me be your guide. I’ll show you what has worked for me, because I want you to have the joy and fulfillment that I have in my career.

Many therapists tell me they’re “slow” this time of year.
If you want to be slow, that’s great. You might want the downtime.
But I’m not talking about that kind of slow.
When your work produces results that clients feel are truly lasting, they come back — and they refer their friends.
If you'd like to explore this approach, comment LASTING below.
I fill my 4 client days per week because I’d rather be “slow” on the days I’m not in the treatment room.
This way I choose my slow time and decide how I want to spend it.
- Not worried about why my books are empty.
- Not wondering where the clients are or if they’re coming back.
- Not wondering how my bills will be paid this month.
- Not wondering if I’ll have enough to keep my practice going
- Not wondering what will happen in the Fall, because after all, it can actually be slow anytime if I don’t have the right strategy.
The right strategy boils down to a focus on getting results that your clients actually want.

You’ll pay a big price if you are just trying to hustle your way to success as an esthetician or massage therapist.
“Hustle culture” has been a thing in the last several years. It grew out of people experiencing a lack of abundance - for whatever reason.
It implies that if you just work harder, you’ll succeed at getting what you want.
If you want to build a career that produces results for clients that are truly lasting, comment LASTING below.
I’ve been a massage therapist and esthetician for decades now, and that doesn’t work with healing professionals like us.
I know - I tried. And failed. And stubbornly tried again and again and again. And failed even harder each time.
This approach resulted in injury and emotional/mental burnout. Which ironically, made me work less, and made me less effective when I did work.
My clients deserve better. I deserve better. You deserve better.
That’s why I teach my students more than just techniques and superficial business concepts.
Your success and longevity are important to me; I want you to succeed and I’m here to help my students.

There have been a lot of new faces that have been following me lately, and I thought it would be a great idea to re-introduce myself :)
And if you're interested in learning how to create lasting results with buccal massage, comment LASTING as well.
I’m Joanna Tringali and I’m a Buccal massage practitioner and trainer helping my students to learn this fascinating work so they can provide impactful facial massage services to their clients. You may be wondering why my students choose to work with me.
Some are into credentials;
•36-year NY licensed massage therapist
•17-year NY licensed, ITEC certified esthetician
•approved by National Certification (NCB) and NY State to train students in Buccal Massage
Some want what I have created;
•3-day week doing the service I love, Buccal massage
•working with actors, models, executives, performers, and anyone who truly values my work
•charging a premium rate so I can enjoy both my career and my life and loved ones, without the 6 days per week grind and money worries
•using my creativity and intuition to help my client look and feel their best
Some want to offer the same results I get to their clients and reap the rewards that come with being skilled at Buccal massage. I’m all about the results and want to help you develop the skills you need to help your clients and yourself.
But enough about me, I want to learn more about you! Tell me something about yourself! I promise to respond in the comments.

My method of doing Buccal Massage works because of HOW I do it.
I use it every day with my celebrity, performer and high-level executive clients.
These are some of the most demanding clients in the world, and without results, they won’t stay.
When you understand how to work with the tissue, the results tend to be more predictable and lasting for your clients.

Because these clients want the benefits of easing tension in the head, jaw and face, with the great side benefit of having lifted, sculpted cheeks and jawlines, they fill my books weeks in advance.
It's gotten to the point where I have to reserve “secret times” on my booking calendar just to accommodate these clients, who need a weekly appointment for a few weeks to get their situation under control.
Your clients want and deserve the best, too. And I know you like repeat bookings.
So why not learn how? I’d be honored to be your instructor!

What is your client really looking for?
The newest machine? A particular product line? A cheaper price?
Nope.
Your client wants 2 things;
- a solution for their problem
- to be seen and heard
That’s it. Really.

You might doubt it, but look at any successful practice where the esthetician or massage therapist is booked solid and has great reviews.
What do their online reviews say?
They speak to the client’s goals and needs being met.
This is why I insist on teaching you how to listen to your client, to have the type of conversation that assures them you are listening, and how to solve their problem while making the whole session a great experience that they can’t wait to repeat again and again.
My Buccal Massage course is not about mindless cookie cutter protocols. Its about truly serving your client by listening to what they need and providing for their needs elegantly and efficiently.
If you’re going to have the success you want, you need to be able to produce the results and the experience that your client wants.
This is how I built my business to abundantly support me on 3 days per week. You can, too, just commit to serving your client.

I see so many facial massage and buccal massage therapists just pulling the tissue upwards over and over and over again.
Practitioners who understand fascia create results that are more consistent and lasting.
If you'd like to explore this approach, comment LASTING below.
It’s like they’re thinking “if I just pull or push hard enough or often enough, the muscles will just comply”.
Maybe. But for how long? And at what cost to you and your client?
Are you communicating with the fascia to enlist its cooperation in your treatment plan?
If you haven’t learned to “talk” to fascia, then you’ve missed a very powerful, crucial component in your work. You need to communicate with it by working in a way that it understands and agrees to.
The fascia is pervasive throughout the face and body, and with a tensile strength of 2000 pounds per square inch, who do you think will prevail, you or the fascia?
So, if you’re going to try to continue to force tissues to comply, good luck with that.
You’ll end up hurting yourself, maybe your client, and not getting any meaningful results.
I teach in a way that respects your body as well as the client’s. Not fast movements. No forcing compliance of tissues.
This gives you the release of head, neck and jaw tension, lifting of facial contours, and moving fluids out of crevices that cause puffiness and discomfort, that is easy on your body, easy for the client to enjoy, and the results are long lasting.

How will you set yourself apart from others by doing facial or buccal massages?
If you want to learn how to create facial or buccal massage results that are more thoughtful, adaptive, and lasting, comment “LASTING” below.
Is your strategy to just follow the steps a teacher gives you and apply it to every client’s face?
Doesn’t that sound odd?
Your client deserves better and you are better than that. What they deserve, and what brings your career to new heights, is crafting the right session for your client. Not a predetermined set of steps. It's not the “same thing for everyone” approach. But a mindful, caring, personalized session that acknowledges your client and their specific needs.
If you want to learn how to craft personalized sessions of Buccal massage for your clients, join me this Summer for either an online or in-person course. Open your eyes to what is possible for you and your clients.

Our recent Graduate Coaching call got real.
Questions turned into hot seats.
Hot seats turned into breakthroughs.
Because facial massage isn’t just about a bunch of techniques.
It’s about:
• how you assess the real cause of the client’s concern
• how you decide which techniques to use and which to skip
• how you adapt as the fascia and muscles are providing feedback through your hands
So, you’re not guessing in the treatment room.
You’re leading.
That’s the difference.
