At least 1 in 10 menstruators in the US alone has endometriosis.
✨Endometriosis is when tissue that resembles the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterine cavity, such as ovaries, bowel, or tissues lining the pelvis.
PCOS affects 5 million + menstruators in the US.
✨PCOS is a condition that affects hormone levels. This can interfere with ovulation and can cause excess hair growth, acne, and other things.
Even though these numbers are large, there is still much that is unknown about these two medical conditions that affect the menstrual cycle.
Do you have Endometriosis or PCOS?
What has your experience been?

What are the differences between PMS and PMDD?
This question came up during last week’s Menstrual Monday. Here’s a bit of information on both:
PMS- Premenstrual Syndrome:
- can be present in 30-80% of menstruators and is a sign of hormonal imbalance.
- can disrupt daily life and will resolve itself within a few days prior to the start of your period.
PMDD- Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
- affects about 1 in 20 women worldwide.
- is extremely disruptive to your daily life, relationships, and can make it difficult to go to work or conduct regular responsibilities.
Both occur during your luteal phase of your menstrual cycle (the phase right before your period).
Tracking your symptoms is key to determining a diagnosis with a health provider. Write down your symptoms and their frequency.
Do you experience PMS or PMDD?
