"For those who know me, you know I’ve been walking through profound grief since losing my husband. The emotional weight has been constant, and my nervous system has felt like it’s been in overdrive—living with anxiety, physical tension, and the feeling of being on the verge of tears almost every day.

Today I experienced an acupuncture session combined with somatic healing at The Green Spa, and I honestly wasn’t prepared for what happened. In the middle of the treatment, my body spontaneously je**ed as my back and abdomen lifted off the table. In that moment, it felt as though something heavy left my body.

Whether it was my nervous system finally releasing built-up tension, the acupuncture, the somatic work, or all of it together, I felt an immediate sense of relief. The weight on my chest felt lighter, I took a deep breath, and for the first time in a long time, my body felt like it could rest.

Healing from grief isn’t linear, and I know there isn’t a single treatment that takes the pain away. But today gave me something I desperately needed—a moment of peace and hope.
