Trini Alvarado at last night’s premiere of “The Staircase” ✨ HMU by me

Trini is truly one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met both inside and out. She’s so lovely to work with and even lets me gush about my obsession with Little Women and her iconic performance as Meg in the 1994 film 🤩 I loved seeing her last night looking like the glowing GODDESS that she is and I can’t wait to watch her as Patty Peterson in “The Staircase” streaming tomorrow on HBO (if you haven’t seen the original documentary it’s one of the best true crime docs ever IMO). Congrats, Trini! 💕

This absolute QUEEN is Dr. Veronica Vera () and I’m so honored to know and love her ❤️

She is a true New York City icon who has done. It. All. Honey.

She went from working on Wall Street to modeling for Robert Mapplethorpe. She was NYC’s premier s*x journalist and adult film star in the late 70s and 80s. She testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee on behalf of s*x workers’ rights and has been a fierce advocate for decades. She’s been awarded a Doctorate of Human Sexuality from the Institute of the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality for her visionary promotion of s*x positivity, justice and equality.

She was an early activist in the trans and q***r communities which lead her to create Miss Vera’s Academy, a nurturing, safe space for trans, non binary, q***r, gender fluid, and even cis identifying people to explore gender. I’ve been lucky to be the “Dean of Cosmetology” at Miss Vera’s for the last decade and it’s been one the biggest blessings in my career and my life.

Veronica is the author of several books (can’t wait for her memoir!), and you can catch her right now expelling her wisdom and fabulousness on the Netflix docuseries Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer.
