Sometimes the weights feel heavy.

The cost, the time, the effort, the commitment to continuously take care of ourselves—it can all feel like a lot.

But I’ve learned that the weight of not taking care of myself is always heavier.

The stress I carry. The tension that builds. The way my body starts asking louder for what I’ve been ignoring. The feeling of being disconnected from myself.

Self-care isn’t always convenient, and it isn’t always cheap. But neither is running ourselves into the ground.

I’d rather continuously invest in feeling good, moving well, staying grounded, and being present in my own life.

Because taking care of yourself has a cost—but neglecting yourself costs a whole lot more.

Be faithful to yourself.

Your body is always talking. The question is—are you listening before it has to yell?

After 20 years of working with bodies, one thing I’ve learned is just how incredibly resilient we are. Your body will adapt, shift, compensate, and find a way to keep you moving—sometimes for years.

But eventually, those compensations can become problems of their own.

That’s why I’m never just interested in where it hurts.
I want to know what you do all day. How you move. How you sleep. Where the imbalances are. What your stress levels look like. What’s happening emotionally. Even where your head’s been lately.

Because none of it exists separately.

Your body is one connected, constantly adapting system—and sometimes the area screaming the loudest isn’t where the problem actually began.

Get curious about your body.

Pay attention to what keeps showing up.

Listen to the whispers before they become screams.

Your body might be telling you more than you think.

sometimes i think about how genuinely rich this life makes me feel. not in the money sense—but in getting to do work i love, with people who trust me to be part of how they care for themselves.

there’s something really special about being included in someone’s self-care routine, their healing, their reset, or simply the hour they’ve decided to give back to themselves.

i feel incredibly lucky to do this work and even luckier that you continue to choose me to be a part of it.

be faithful to yourself. 🤍.

Happy Labor Day! 🌿

Today feels like a good day to pause and appreciate the work we do—and I feel incredibly blessed that my work allows me to care for people every day.

Reclaimed Being has become so much more than a business to me. It’s a space for connection, healing, slowing down, and helping people feel a little more at home in their bodies. The trust you place in me to be part of that process is something I never take for granted.

I’m grateful for every person who has walked through my door, supported this little business, shared my name with someone they love, or simply kept coming back.

There’s something pretty special about being able to say I genuinely love what I do.

Happy Labor Day, everyone. Here’s to meaningful work, much-needed rest, and being grateful for both. 🤍

Be faithful to yourself.

This week I invite you into my sanctuary with three gentle practices that support your body, breath, and inner calm. These aren’t busywork; they’re invitations to listen to yourself with tenderness and curiosity. When you walk out of your session, I want you to feel not just relief, but a quiet alignment—a moment of self-love you can carry with you through your day.

1) 5-Minute Mindful Breath: Sit comfortably, soften the shoulders, place a hand on your chest and one on your abdomen. Inhale through the nose for 4 counts, exhale for 6. Repeat for 5 minutes.

2) Light Neck & Shoulder Circles: Inhale to lengthen the spine, tilt the head gently from side to side, circle the shoulders—5 each direction, then 5 forward and 5 back.

3) 60-Second Body Scan: Close your eyes, notice sensations from feet to face, exhale to invite release at each point. A few rounds bring clarity and ease.

If you try one thing this week, let it be listening to your body with kindness. And if you’re ready for deeper support, I’m here with flexible, lovingly tailored sessions to honor your unique pace. 🌿

I’ve learned that there are two worlds I carry: the one I see and the one I live in every day. The outside world is bright and loud, but the world inside me deserves just as much care. When my inner world is overflowing; with breath, rest, and gentle moments, I have more compassion, clarity, and energy to share with others.

I choose to nourish my body, calm my mind, and tend my spirit with the same tenderness I offer to the people I serve. Holistic care isn’t a trend; it’s a practice: move with ease, eat with gratitude, sleep with intention, breathe with purpose, and set gentle boundaries.

Today I remind myself: before I give to the world, I refill my own well so I can show up fully, warmly, and authentically. If you’re listening to this, take a moment to ask: How is my inner world feeling today? What small act of self-care can I gift myself right now?

You deserve a thriving inner ecosystem as much as you deserve lasting relief in your muscles and joints. Let’s honor both, together. Sending you calm energy, soft breaths, and a reminder that your well-being isn’t selfish - it’s essential.

Wellness isn’t a solo journey. When you invest in massage therapy or any wellness practice, choose a practitioner who is fully present with you—during the session and in your goals. A true partner holds the space, listens deeply, and anchors your path with you.

We thrive when we practice together:
Alignment: Clarify needs, craft a responsive plan, celebrate small wins.
Collaboration: Your experiences and boundaries guide technique and pace.
Presence: Show up fully for lasting change.

I’m growing and changing alongside you—bringing presence, empathy, and curiosity. You bring intention, honesty, and courage. Together, we explore what your body needs now and what your goals require.

Growth, together:
Progress isn’t linear. Plateaus, breakthroughs, and subtle shifts compound over time. Staying aligned helps us notice patterns, refine strategies, and honor evolving priorities.
Goals evolve as you do. Through touch, breath, and reflection, your wellness vision may shift. I’ll adjust with you to keep plans relevant and empowering.
Trust deepens resilience. Consistent, collaborative work builds trust—within you, your practitioner, and your body—supporting safer movement, deeper release, and sustainable outcomes.

Fall transition, we shoulder it together:
Tune into seasonal shifts and adjust your plan.
Recalibrate to shorter days and changing energy.
Shed what no longer serves as a renewal, not a loss, with intention and companionship.

Going through this fall transition together, we’re cultivating a shared practice of presence, growth, and alignment.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m with you, every step of the way.

When we focus on this area, I aim to address the key muscles and how breathing ties in. The side of the neck, collarbone area, and top of the shoulders involves the SCM, scalene group, levator scapulae, and the deep neck extensors working in concert with the pectoralis minor and the clavicular head of pec major. Tightness here can restrict rib cage expansion and neck alignment, often reflecting posture, daily habits, and breathing patterns. With a light, steady touch, I work to soften these patterns, freeing up space for easier breaths and more comfortable shoulder movement.

Breath is central to the work. The scalene group and SCM influence the rib cage and upper chest, so I tailor pressure and tempo to support relaxed, diaphragmatic breathing during the session. Gentle releases in the SCM, scalenes, and levator scapulae, along with safe neck and upper-chest stretches, help restore natural rib expansion and neck alignment. The aim is to reduce guarding and provide a foundation for deeper, calmer breaths and freer movement.

Aftercare centers on sustaining breathing-friendly ease. We’ll check in about how your breath feels, maintain hydration to support fascia, and provide simple self-care tools—breathing drills, gentle neck/shoulder moves, and light self-massage—that reinforce the release. If tension returns or breathing feels constrained, we’ll adjust and plan the next steps together. The goal is for you to leave with improved tone, better breathing, and tools to maintain the relief between sessions.

Listening to your body when it speaks is a quiet, essential practice for living well. Massage therapy, especially mine, offers a compassionate invitation to pause, breathe, and check in with the signals your body sends—tension, fatigue, or subtle shifts in energy. Through gentle touch and mindful presence, we become more self-aware of what’s happening beneath the surface, tuning into patterns we may have ignored. This holistic pause fosters deeper connection, healing, and a renewed sense of balance, empowering you to listen, respond with care, and nurture your whole self. Stay in the here and now and book a massage today!
