I am ACTUALLY going on vacation August 15-20. But you would not believe how many times this happens to me. If you show up to my shop and I’m “not here” please check to see if there’s a sign on my door. Sometimes I’m legitimately stepped out. Sometimes you are here on a Monday.
I JUST had a customer tell me that I wasn’t here on Tuesday 🤷♂️except…I was🤭🤷♂️

If the pole is spinning, the shop is open! This c.1955 Marvy Barber Pole operated for decades at a barbershop in Preble, NY, before being gifted to me by a customer. It’s still going strong, all these years later, with a few repairs over time. The original motor ran solidly for about 4 years for me. I’ve replaced the motor twice now in the past ten years.
