Swedish artist Sara Woodrow has created the faces that live on ABATURE’s cartons for years. She designed our deer logo, brought our flavor stories to life through her artwork, and somewhere along the way became a treasured friend. ✨
After nearly a decade of drawing for us, we asked her for a self-portrait to adorn our new flavor inspired by creamy vanilla and warm Scandinavian Oak.
And today, she’s winking back at us. 😉
The artist finally became the art.
There’s a much bigger story behind this little box. One that began nearly a decade ago with a piece of Sara’s artwork called No Boundaries. Today, on the ABATURE blog, our Founder shared the story of the art, friendship, motherhood, faith, and two women creating together from opposite sides of the world.

Meet Vanilla Oak, our newest Lip Butter, made with sustainably sourced Bourbon Vanilla from Madagascar. A beautifully rich variety of Vanilla planifolia known for its deep, warm aroma, notes of caramel and soft undertones, with a creamy velvet finish.
And despite the name, there’s no bourbon involved 😉 “Bourbon Vanilla” takes its name from the historic designation for vanilla grown on islands of the Indian Ocean.
